You lived in the North side. It was a nice, quiet, peaceful town. But the South side, a bad, loud town. And your crush lives in the south side. And he/she was a part of a gang that your parents hate.

"I don't know why my mom doesn't.. like them! I mean, (c/n), he/she is a part of that gang, but like... he/she is a nice person. Unlike his/her dad." You talked on the phone with (f/n). You were on your computer, learning more about this gang, called, runners.

"I can't find nothing about them. Only one thing that may be a part of them." You said. You clicked on the article and it was about a shooting. "What is it about?" (F/n) asked.

"A shooting. I think (c/n)'s dad was apart of it because it says that the gang leader "the runners" was arrested and I remembered that (c/n) said something about his/her dad was in jail." You said. "Man, stalker much?" (F/n) laughed on the other of the line. You rolled your eyes and chuckled. Then your door opened.

You shut your computer and said, "I'll call you back (f/n)." And then you hung up.

"(Y/n), what were you doing?" Your mom asked. You smiled and said, "homework. Why?" You looked at her suspiciously. She smiled and sat on your bed. You turned to her and said, "your dad. He's, building a office.... and it's not small, of course! But a building of offices." You raised a brow at her. "What do you mean mom?" You asked.

"What I'm saying is, he's building a office and he gave the guys who are helping him all of our money. Including your college money. And it's on the south side." You felt a bit upset. "Oh." All you said. You looked at her, smiling. "It's okay. I'm just in sophomore year anyways. I'll raise the money myself." You said.

"Honey-" you cut your mom off. "Mom," you stood up, "it's okay. I'll start working. I'm 16 mom. I'll be okay." She smiled and stood up. "Thank you honey." She hugged you. You hugged back.

Weeks later, you were at your job, the closest fast food restaurant near the south side, in-N-out (not sponsored).

You were cleaning the tables. Until a certain, guy/girl came in. You turned around and saw (c/n). You tried acting normal, but that just blew it. "Hey.. (y/n)?" You heard (c/n) say. You turned around and said, "yeah. (C/n), right?" You put a hand on your hip. He/she looked at you up and down, smiling. Your smile faded a bit. You got a bit angry. "(C/n)?" You said. He/she looked at you, his/her smile faded away.

"Oh gosh, I'm sorry!" He/she said. "It's.. alright." You shuddered. "Uh, I'll go." He/she went to the order his/her food. You sighed and continued cleaning.

Weeks later, you walked to your dad's workplace. It was all built. You got in a fight with your mom. You were walking a bit faster, with the runners looking at you. You hugged yourself. Feeling a bit scared. Then one of them whistled at you. You ran. "Hey!" You heard one of them yell. You ran for your life here. Then one of them got on their bike and grabbed you, throwing you and the guy to the ground. "Hey! Leave her/him alone!" You heard (c/n). "Oooh look, if it isn't the leader's son/daughter." One of them said. (C/n) walled up to you and helped you up. "Let's go." He/she said.

"PUSSYS!" They yelled. You rolled your eyes. "Thanks (c/n)." You said. "No problem I'm pretty sure every guy and girl hates being cat called. Well that's for girls. Is for boys dog called?" You and (c/n) laughed.

You and (c/n) has been talking and hanging out all lot. One day he/she asked you out. Obviously him/her being your crush, you said yes. You were at in-n-out with (c/n). "I love this night with you." You said, hugging him/her. "Me too." He/she kissed on top of your head. Then your dad came in.

"(Y/N)!?" You jumped. "Dad." You got up. "What the hell is this!? With a runner!? No daughter/son of mine is not allowed to date one of their kind!" He yelled. "Dad, he's/she's different than his/her gang!" You yelled. Everyone's eyes were on you. "(Y/n), just go with him." You turned around. "But-" "go, he's right. I'm a criminal. You're just too perfect for me, go with him."

You were at your house. "MOM! I LOVE HIM/HER WHY ARE YOU AGAINST THEM!?" You yelled. "DONT YELL AT ME!" She turned red. You looked at her angrily. "Sit down." She said. You sat down, your hands on your face. "Your grandma dated his grandfather. They were a happy couple and they loved each other all lot. Until she met your grandpa. They broke up and she started to date your dad's dad. And once (c/n)'s grandfather heard that she was pregnant, he killed your grandpa you never met. Your dad hates (c/n)s family with pure hate." She said.

"He's/she's different from his/her grandpa and dad and everyone else. He/she has something pure. Not hatred or a criminal. I love him/her!" You said, standing. "It's not my idea. It's your dad's." She stood up. "If you want to be with (c/n), convince him. Not me." She left.

A day later you went to his office at his new workplace. And you brought (c/n) with you. "I came to see (your last name)." You said. "Do you have an appointment?" The front desk lady asked. "Well, no. But I'm his daughter/son." "I'm sorry ms/mr-" "Ruby let them in." You heard your dad. She nodded. "Go along." You and (c/n) entered.

"Dad?" You said. "Why is he/she here?" He asked. You both sat down. "I brought him/her." You said. "Why is that?" "To convince that he/she is a good person. He's/she's not a bad person. Just because his/her grandpa killed your dad doesn't mean he's gonna kill someone from our side!" You said. "HES/SHES A KILLER!" Your dad yelled. "Sir, i'm sorry what my grandfather did to your dad. He loved your mom all lot. My dad hasn't killed anyone, he only started a gunfight. He didn't want to, but he was forced too. I wish I wasnt a part of this gang. I hate it with my heart. I wanted to go with my mom. But court told me that my dad was better than my mom. She was an alcoholic before. She changed. But court told me I still can't live with her. I'm glad I stayed. If i wasn't here, I would've never met (y/n)." He/she looked down/up at you. "I see." Your dad said. "Dad. Please. For me." You pleaded. "Fine. I approve." You smiled and kissed (c/n). He/she was a bit surprised but kissed back. "I'm glad we're together." You said. "Me too (y/n). Me too."
