Kristine's POV
We drove off to a fairly large apartment. We walked up a long flight of stairs, as other youtubers pulled into the parking lot. Pewds, Toby, everyone was here! This must've been the building that they paid for.
We walked to their floor, which was the very top one. We unlocked the door to their apartment and walked in. There was a large living room, a kitchen, and a small hallway leading to three more doors. He led me down the hallway and into the door that was on the left. I started to walk in when he said, "Wait here. I'll do a little intro then call you in." I nodded, and backed up as he shut the door behind him. Why did he need me if he was going to do it himself? I leaned my ear up against the door, but still couldn't hear what he was saying very well.
"Hello internet! So, as you all know, I've moved to Hollywood for a year(it was fuzzy here)and at my new high (he probably said school) prom is coming up! So, to help me discuss the topic I brought my new friend Kristine to help me! And, um, I-" he said. I was interrupted by Phil.
"What are you doing, Kristine? Aren't you supposed to be helping Dan?" he asked as I jumped back.
"Oh! Um, he told me to wait out here. He's going to do an intro, and then call me in." I said, acting like I hadn't been listening, because that's kinda stalkerish.
"Huh. That's strange. He usually always lets the guest watch the intro. Helps him focus. I'll go in and ask what's going on." Phil said as he opened the door.
"...my date. Phil! How long have you been listening? Shut the door! This is private!" Dan shouted as he stopped the recording.
"What's going on, Dan? Why've you been so secretive lately? Is there something you need to tell me?" Phil asked, worriedly.
"It's...it's nothing, Phil. I'll tell me later. You can come in now, Kristine. And, Phil?" Dan said.
"Yeah?" Phil said as he back into the hallway to let me through.
"Can you stay in the hall this time? This is...nessescary." Dan said, looking at his hands.
"Um...sure, I guess." Phil said, frowning as he shut the door. I took a seat next to Dan as he started recording again.
"Say hello, internet!" Dan said pointing at me.
"Um, hi! I'm Kristine Derose!" I said, waving. This was so different than what I expected.
"Anyways, we're going to start off with some simple questions." Dan pulled out his phone, and scrolled through questions about prom. "Okay, what does your prom/tux look like?"
I started. "Mine is sort of a high-low dress and it's gold at the top and white at the bottom." I said.
"My tux, well, looks like a tux! But with a bow tie!" He said, pointing towards a large bag behind him. It was jet black, with a white undershirt and, indeed, a black bow tie. "Next question!" He said, pointing towards his phone. "What is your favorite prom refreshment? Mine has got to be the punch."
"You haven't even seen our food! There are these little hotdogs on a toothpick that you can eat in one bite and no one can judge you!" Dan started laughing. I looked at the screen of the camera, he was looking at me as I kept talking, with a look of, I don't know. I've never been deeply in love before, but I just felt it around him, and it looked like he felt the same around me. "But I have to say, the cookies are the best!" I said, laughing.
"Next question..." Dan began, gulping. Is this it? "Do you have a prom date?" He said, turning to me.
"Actually," I said, looking at my hands. "I don't..." I slightly looked up.
