I lay on the ground panting with the three demons still hovering above me. I can't do this. I thought. I've failed Nora again. No matter how many times I try, I can't escape this destiny. Everything I have done so far was pointless! Mackenzie had her foot raised preparing to smash my head with it. But then, she stopped and backed away along with the other two. I looked up in confusion.
"Don't worry, Ian." I heard an all too familiar voice beside me. It was Nora's. I looked up to see her standing beside the human form Alice. Then I knew what she was about to do.
"Nora!" I said. "Please don't do this!" I begged.
"I have to." she said.
