Chapter 1

Flashback

“Mom when is this Tyler kid coming?” my brother Ryan asked

“Soon.” My mom replied “And Addison be nice.”

“I am always nice.” I replied

“Ryan no pranks this kid is moving here from a different country and I don’t want him to think he’s imposing.” My Mom told my brother

All of a sudden the door bell rang; I ran to the door and opened it to see the cutest guy I had ever seen.

Present Day

“Addison we need to get going!” I heard my Mom call from downstairs

“Coming.” I replied as I ran down the stairs

I was heading to Boston to go to college and though I’ll never admit to it I was excited to see a certain boy who stayed with my family during high school.

“I’m going to miss you.” My brother Ryan said

“Don’t touch my room.” I said laughing

Ryan was your typical thirteen year old kid from Plymouth, Michigan. He was tall, skinny, and strong. The only difference was he was considered the next Sidney    Crosby of the NHL and the next Tyler Seguin of the OHL, especially in Plymouth, when he plays in that league.

“I won’t, tell Ty I say hey.” He said

“I will.” I said

“Are you sure you don’t need me?” my Mom asked

“I’m sure Tyler said he I could live with him and Jordan. I will be fine.” I told my Mom

Boston

“Addison!” I heard Tyler say

“Tyler!” I said running to him

“Long time no see.” He said pulling me into a hug

“How long has it been?” I asked him

“A couple of weeks.” He replied

“Sure felt longer.”

“It did.” He said

Tyler helped me with my bags and we walked to his car.

“Really?” I said

“What?’ he said

“You got your dream car.” I said

“Yes and you can drive my old one.”

“And that would be?” I sarcastically asked

“You’ll see.” He replied

“I can’t wait.” I said

I climbed into his car and hooked up my iPod to his radio and started blaring Green Day.

“You haven’t changed.” He said turning down the volume

“Is that a good thing or a bad thing?” I asked

“Good.” He replied with a smile on his face

“How’s Natalya?” I asked him about his girlfriend

“We broke up.” He said quietly

“Tyler I’m sorry I didn’t know.” I replied

“It’s okay. There are plenty of fish in the sea.” He said

“There are you’ll find the perfect girl.” I said

You do know she is sitting right next to you. I kept thinking. When Tyler lived with us we were really close. He told me everything and I told him everything. He was the only person who knew my ex boyfriend hit me and convinced me to call the cops. I was in love with Tyler and I really wanted to know if he felt the same way. I was just too scared to ask.
