Never did I once think that I'd have feelings for someone again. Especially after Adam. But seeing his face would filled me with warmth that I've never felt before. What was this feeling?
"Penny for your thoughts?"
Brought back to reality, Blake was suddenly aware of her surroundings. She was walking aimlessly outside of school. She was even more aware of who was next to her, enjoying the morning air just like she was.
"Don't sneak up on me like that. It's unnerving," butterflies launched in her stomach.
She heard him laugh and risked a glimpse at him. Big mistake. His head was tilted back in a laugh, she could see his perfect white teeth flash in the sunlight. Not able to look away, she stared. He opened his eyes, looking into hers, twinkling a deep ocean blue.
"Like something you see?" He teased.
The butterflies were going crazy now. She rolled her eyes, looking away, pink rising in her cheeks, "Yeah, right."
She heard him chuckle, but dared not look. Don't want to get caught a second time. They strolled together, not going to any certain place. A silent, companionate walk of just the two of them. No one else was out since it was a early Saturday morning, recovering from Friday night. Blake loved these walks, happy to just be together, not needing to say anything. A feeling no one else seemed to understand with the exception of Sun.
The cool air calmed her heated cheeks, enough so she felt she could look at him again.
He had a small smile, one that never seemed to leave his face, "Ready to talk?" But this smile was a knowing smile, like he knew the way she felt in his presence.
She sighed, stopping their walk behind a pillar near the school. Was she that easy to read? "How do you do that?"
Sun looked at her questioningly, "Do what?" Even his confused face was cute.
"How do you know what I'm feeling?" Does he know how her inside turns to mush when he looks at her? That when they touch her heart beats so hard in her chest, everyone must hear it?
He smirked, "Do I make you nervous?" Sun leaned in.
Her face turned bright red, she rested a hand on his chest keeping him away because she didn't think her heart could take it. Literally and figuratively.
She was trapped between him and the wall. His eyes locked on hers.
"N-no," she stuttered.
"Oh, yeah?" His smile became bigger, his face closer.
"Yeah," she whispered.
He looked down a little and she knew he was looking at her lips.
She looked at his almost simultaneously. They were practically inviting her in.The only sound in the morning air was her gasp as Sun captured her lips in his soft ones. She turned her head to give her better access. Like taking a bite of a fresh, warm cinnamon roll, she let out a moan.
Smiling into their kiss, Sun pulled away. "Still nervous?" He grinned.
"Hold on, just let my heart get back to its normal speed" she laid one hand on her heart, her other hand was still on his chest. His heart was beating as fast as hers.
Sun grinned wider, "That might be awhile."
In response, Blake grabbed his shirt and pulled him to her, "A long while."
