The first album is an absolute stellar opening to this band's career. With epic tracks like "Knife Edge" and "Take a Pebble", you seriously cannot go wrong with this.

2. Tarkus

10/10 Again, this album is absolutely amazing

Again, this album is absolutely amazing. However, it opens up with the track Tarkus, which is arguably one of the best things the band ever did.

3. Pictures at an Exhibition

7/10This album is technically a live album, but it primarily contains tracks that can't e found on the studio albums, so it gets that credit

This album is technically a live album, but it primarily contains tracks that can't e found on the studio albums, so it gets that credit. Also, it is very good to consider as just a live album.

4. Trilogy

9.5/10
Yet another amazing album from ELP, it definitely is up there with the other albums. I also really give them a lot of credit for a song like "The Endless Enigma", as it seems to employ some borderline avant-garde influences.

5. Brain Salad Surgery

10/10This album is literally so perfect

This album is literally so perfect. At this point, ELP had hit the pinnacle of their abilities. The album is closed with the thirty minute epic, "Karn Evil 9" (no, I don't know what happened to Karn Evils 1-8). Overall, this is is what perfection looks like.

Granted, I would say this isn't exactly the best thing the band ever did, but it certainly contains some very high points. Also, it technically is two albums, but I'm just lumping them together. Songs like "Tiger in the Spotlight", "C'est la Vie", "Pirates," and "Piano Concerto No. 1" are truly awesome.

7. Love Beach

2/10Good Lord, gag me with a spoon

Good Lord, gag me with a spoon. The band literally did not want to make this album, and it shows. It is so bland, cheesy, and overall crappy that, ugh, it's depressing. The band started out so awesome, they only got better, and then this happened...
Ugh, and the cheesy cover too😂😂😂
