Barry's POV.
As soon as Ella told him what had happened when the Flash had almost kissed her, he began to remember how he had felt that night. He had felt drawn to her more than ever before. He wanted to kiss her that night. He was about too, but Cisco had to interrupt. And he had to leave. After he had cleared his head, he began to feel scared to go back. He was inlove with Iris. He shouldn't have been having feelings towards another girl, let alone Ella! He also worried that she had been bothered by his actions that night. So he decided that he would keep his distance.
And when they had found themselves under the mistletoe Barry had at first not wanted to kiss her, because of everything with Iris, but after Ella had let him out of it, he began to wish he would have kissed her.
But after she told him she had wanted the Flash to kiss her, he knew he had made a mistake. Especially since he knew that there was no chance for him and Iris. If he was honest with himself though, Ella had been on Barry's mind a lot more than Iris had for the past few weeks.
After the party Barry decided he would fix his mistake. He ran to Ella's apartment and stood outside on her balcony. She didn't come out. He looked closer. She was asleep on the couch. She looked cute when she was sleeping.
He tapped on the glass. Her head shot up. She looked around the room until her eyes landed on him. He smiled. She got up and went to the door. Her hair looked as perfect as ever, but she looked quite tired.
"Hi." She said. "Maybe I should come back another time..." He started to back away. "No!" She shouted. He froze. She wanted him to stay. "I mean, no it's fine. I'm not busy." "Are you sure? You seem tired." "Oh, I am, but I would rather you not run away again." She said.
He looked at her outfit. It was the same one she had on earlier. A perfectly fitted red and white sweater with jeans and black high heeled boots. She looked beautiful. He couldn't really say anything before as her best friend, but right now he was the Flash. "You look...amazing." He said honestly. She blushed. "I'm sure you say that to all the girls." He looked straight at her. "What other girls?" He saw how she slightly gasped. He already wanted to kiss her.
Ella walked over to the railing. He watched her. "Did you come here for a particular reason?" She asked. "Not really. I just wanted to see you." She was silent. "Is...that okay?" He asked cautiously. She kept her back turned away from him, as she looked out across the city.
"Of course. I just wonder why you would come all the way here just to see me?" "Why wouldn't I?" He asked. "I'm just a regular girl. Nothing special." Barry knew Ella couldn't be more wrong. She was extremely special to him. "You couldn't be more wrong, Ella. Your very special. At least you are to me."
Ella's POV.
The Flash ran up behind her. She gasped. He put his hand on her left arm. She turned her head to look at him. He wasn't vibrating his face at all. "Your not vibrating your face." She told him. He smiled. "I don't want to." He said softly scanning her face. Her breathing quickened. He looked down at her lips. "Ella..." He began to lean in. Ella suddenly turned away. She panicked. She heard him sigh.
"I haven't seen you for a while." She said. He went to stand next to her. "I know. I've been busy." He said. She nodded. "I understand." "Ella, could we go inside? It's chilly out here." He asked. "Oh, sure. Of course. I-" Suddenly she was picked up and sped into her apartment. He set her down. "Woah." She exclaimed.
"Nice decorations. Did you have a party?" He asked. "Yes. I did." She answered still getting her bearings. He nodded. "Did you decorate this place all by yourself?" "No I had some help from my friend, Barry." "I see."
Then Ella looked up to see that they were standing under mistletoe. "The trap." She whispered. "What?" He asked. "Mistletoe." She answered. He looked up and back down at her. "That's a strange place for someone to put mistletoe." "Yeah, I've already been caught under this one, once." She answered. "Really? With who?" "Barry." She answered.
"So you two kissed?" He asked for some reason, cautiously. Ella looked down in disappointment. "No, he-we didn't." "Why?" The Flash asked. "He had just told someone that he loved them. They didn't reciprocate his feelings. He was crushed. I didn't want to make him kiss another girl, let alone me, who he doesn't have any feelings for."
The Flash looked oddly at her. "You sound as if you wished he did." He asked carefully. Her eyes grew wide. "I-What? No I-" His eyes grew. "You wanted him to kiss you. Didn't you?" He asked. "Well I..." She sighed. "You have feelings for Barry, don't you?" He asked. "I do. But it doesn't matter anyway. He has feelings for someone else." She said. "I see. I'm sorry." He said.
"It's okay." She paused and sighed. "So what do we do now?" She asked looking up at the mistletoe. "Would you like me to kiss you?" He asked softly and cautiously. He walked closer to her. Her heart began to beat faster. "I-" "Because I would very much like to kiss you." He said softly and desperately. All she could was think about what was about to happen. She gave one nod. He copied her nod and with that he leaned down and kissed her.
Sparks flew everywhere. The kiss was deep. He wrapped an arm around her waist, while his hand rested on her cheek. Suddenly she felt something like an electrically shock. She jumped and pulled away. They were both breathing heavily. She put her fingers to her lip. "I uh, sorry." He apologized. "It's okay." "Well...I better go. Goodnight Ella." "Goodnight Flash." And he was gone.
