Ella's POV.
They got to the Iris's house and went upstairs to her bedroom. "You can sleep in my room." "Thanks, Iris." "No problem." "Hey, Barry told me what happened with his mom. When did it happen?" Iris looked down. "A few months after you left." Ella's eyes grew. She had been gone when Barry needed her most and it wasn't as if she had been gone for years. "Oh, poor Barry. How did it happen?"
"We don't really know. All the evidence pointed towards...well...Barry's dad." Ella shook her head. "No. He was so kind. He loved her so much. He couldn't have killed her." "I know. I don't believe he did either. Barry was there when it happened. He saw some things. Some crazy things. No one believed him, though. They thought it was shock." Ella nodded.
"I should have been here." "It wasn't your fault. Plus Barry was okay. He had me and my dad." Somehow those words stung Ella. She knew Iris didn't mean it the way she took it, but it still hurt. Maybe Barry didn't really need her with Iris being there. "Thank you Iris." "For what?" "For staying by his side." "I always will." She answered.
Barry's POV.
As soon as he realized the girl in front of him was Ella he couldn't stop smiling. She was back! He thought he would never see her again. Barry walked into the West house and knew he would see her again. He was so glad to have his friend back. He walked up to Iris's room and knocked on the door.
The door opened. "Hey Bare!" Iris said hugging him. Barry felt his heart flutter. He wished He could tell Iris exactly how he felt, but he couldn't. Especially when she was dating Eddie. "Hey Iris. Hey Ella." "Hi." She waved. "So, I was wondering if you guys would like to go out for some pizza?" He saw Ella smile brightly. Iris on the other hand but her lip. "What?" "I have report to work on, for my blog. Sorry I'll have skip." Barry sighed.
He didn't like it that she had a blog about the Streak. It put her in so much danger. "Iris...you have to stop-" "Writing your blog. I know you say that every time and every time I tell you no I won't stop writing. I'm a reporter Barry. That's what I do. I report the truth and I'm not afraid of what comes with it."
Barry sighed and shook his head. "Fine. Ella and I can go eat then." Ella looked slightly awkward. "Sure if Iris doesn't mind." "No I don't mind. You two go ahead." "Okay, thanks Iris." Barry said. Ella walked over to Barry. "See you two later." Iris smiled. "Bye." Ella said.
Ella's POV.
Barry and Ella walked side by side down the street. "So, what's this thing about Iris's blog?" Barry sighed. "She writing a blog about the Streak and by doing that...she's putting herself in a lot of danger." Ella nodded.
"I see. So who's the Streak?" Barry stopped walking and smiled slightly. "You don't know who the Streak is?" She shook her head. "He's a meta human who goes around saving people." "Oh so like Superman or Batman." He chuckled. "Yeah. Like Superman or Batman." They began walking again. "So what powers does he have?" "Well...he has super speed and that's all we know." "Hmm. Cool." "Yeah, I guess."
"I get why Iris shouldn't be writing a blog about him. My friend and co-worker Lois Lane, wrote about Superman. She would get exclusive interviews from him and everything! It was great, but she was constantly being caught in the middle of Superman and his enemies. She was almost always in danger." Ella notice Barry clench his jaw tightly.
Ella put her hand on his arm. "Hey. She'll be okay. If anything happens The Streak will save her. Superman always saves Lois." Barry sighed heavily. "I hope he can." "He will. He's a hero." Barry chuckled. "What?" "You don't even know him. And your already saying he's a hero." "Yeah, but anyone who risks his life for others is a hero." Barry nodded.
