Third Person POV:

The sun shone bright on the sleepy town of Gravity Falls. In the Mystery Shack, lived a family of heroes. They were praised for stopping Weirdmaggedon earlier, and all of the other supernatural occurrences that had happened. Bill had been defeated, and Weirdmaggedon had been avoided. The heroes would be heading home soon,  up there was something missing, that no one seemed to know. The unknown, forgotten hero that had saved them all.

The mystery twins had woken up, and packed up their things to leave back to Piedmont, California. They had just finished cleaning their room in the attic.

"This summer has been crazy, right Mabel?" Dipper said, as he packed his clothes in his suitcase.

"Yeah! I managed to bedazzle all of my sweaters!" Mabel answered, fully knowing that Dipper was talking about the supernatural. But the "Nevermind All That" rule prevented them from discussing it.

"In a way, I am going to miss the weirdness of this town." Dipper stated, as he and Mabel brought their suitcases downstairs.

"Yeah, but at least Bill is gone." Mabel smiled

The twins both raced back upstairs, to clear what was left in the room. Dipper searched his drawers, until he found something strange.

"Hey Mabel, check this out!" He called to his twin. Dipper took the object out of the drawer. It was a dusty old photograph. Mabel blew the dust off it, causeing the twins to turn into a sneezing fit. What was in the photo scared them.

It was Dipper and Mabel, and two other people in the photo. One was a boy with purple hair, another had blonde, and they looked very similar. In between them, with a large smile on their face, was a girl.

"Dipper, who are they?" Mabel wondered aloud, to which Dipper did not reply.

The mystery girl in the picture, was in fact you. The other two boys were in fact the demons they had spent the unknown summer with. While memories can be erased, photos cannot.

Something sparked inside of the twins that moment they came across the photograph. As if those people weren't just in their memories.

Those people were in their hearts.

As the twins were called outside, Mabel motion for Dipper to leave the picture. As Mabel left the attic, Dipper circled back, and folded the photo in his vest.

Once on the bus back home, with Waddles snuggled in Mabel's lap, and them both fast asleep, Dipper took out the photo from his vest. His eyes never left the mystery girl in the photo. He searched his mind to recall when this picture was taken, or at least a name, when a single word escaped his lips.

"Y/N."
