She's fixing her hair for she and Angelo, her boyfriend, would have a date tonight. She opened her cabinet and saw a familiar ring placed on top of her make-up kit.
Their wedding ring.
She had her bitter smile upon remembering a bit of what has happened 5 years ago.
It was 10 in the evening when he reached their house. Exhausted, he harshly let himself fall on the couch.
He smiled as he saw his wife wearing his button down white long-sleeved polo and his short boxers. It's close to midnight but she's still stunning.
Lea smiled at him and sat on his lap. "Tired, babes?" she asked.
"Not anymore, my love." he says and kissed her.
"I have something for you."
He smiled, "What is it?"
She took something from the small pocket of the polo.
Aga almost jumped in joy, if it weren't because of his wife sitting on his lap, when he saw the pregnancy test that showed two red lines; positive.
"Congratulations, dad!" she exclaimed and hugged him.
He couldn't contain his happiness anymore, he carried her and turned around. "Daddy na ako!" he shouted. "Oh, babes, huwag ka nang magtatrabaho, ako na lang. Huwag ka nang papasok sa office. Tsaka maghanap na rin tayo ng yaya para makasama mo--"
She stopped him by putting her forefinger on his lips, "Kaya ko, babes. Don't worry." she assured him.
He sat again. "Pero, babes, kailangan manigurado tayo."
"Saka na, kapag 6 months na 'tong tiyan ko. Eh, ngayon, kaya ko pa naman. I'm strong."
He smiled and kissed her again, "Yeah, I almost forgot. My wife is a superwoman. So, anong pangalan ng baby natin?"
She chuckled and piched his cheek, "Pangalan agad? Hindi pa nga natin alam if it's a boy or a girl."
"Kahit na."
She shook her head and smiled at him.
He stared at his wife and he was amused by her beauty. He started to shower her face sweet kisses.
They were just too happy.
She heard a car honking and she presumed that it was Angelo. She smiled and puts back the ring in its place.
She looked at her reflection in the mirror.
She went out of her house and saw Angelo leaning on his car, wearing his black long-sleeved polo tucked in slacks. She met Angelo during a conference. Mr. Ecleo introduced him to her as his most trusted Architect. Graduated from University of the Philippines and had worked in Italy. He had her yes after almost 8 months of courting her.
