Chapter 18: Maid Cafe and Cats

As soon as the school festival started, things went well for the event. On the 2nd years where Aichi and his friends belong to, they also have many costumers for the cafe.
Some students from other schools also came, and Kai went with Miwa to the cafe. They saw Aichi and Miwa immediately called on him.
"Yo Aichi!" Miwa grinned as Aichi approached them.
"Hello Miwa-kun! Kai-kun! What would you like to order?" Aichi spoke and smiled back.
"The cat," Kai replied seriously, not taking his eyes off the menu.
"U-uh… what cat?" Aichi asked.
"…The omelette rice… with cat designs…" Kai replied.
"As expected from Kai-kun," Aichi stated and chuckled. "How about you, Miwa-kun?"
"Oh, I think I'll have the same as Kai's. Also can I have a request?" Miwa said.
"Yes?"
"Can you let one of the maids to serve?" Miwa asked.
"That is not a problem, Miwa-kun. I'll let Kourin-chan serve you two." Aichi said.
"Thanks, Aichi!"

Kourin saw that Suiko and Rekka are also at the school, she saw them as she looked by the window. Suiko and Rekka are together with their friends, they were at some stalls on the school grounds.
Kourin then looked at Aichi who was walking towards her. "Hey, Kourin-chan." Aichi called on her.
"Hey," Kourin responded and gave a small smile.
"Can you please serve two omelette rice with cat designs?" Aichi said, "Kai-kun and Miwa-kun are both here and they ordered that… wait is there anything wrong?" Aichi seem to notice Kourin's downcast face.
"N-no it's just… my sisters are here, and they might see both of us together. You know them, right?" Kourin said.
"I see…" Aichi understood and sighed.
"By the way, Rekka told me she's sorry. I can explain to you why later, okay?"
"Sure," Aichi nodded and he watched Kourin as she served the food.
Aichi looked by the window and he did see Kourin's sisters, he can only think of how to handle the situation if they ever get caught.

"Hey Suiko! Let's go to Kourin's classroom! I've heard they have a maid cafe!" Said Rekka as she dragged Suiko.
"Sure! I'll just tell my classmates we have to go, okay?"
"Okay!"
Suiko and Rekka then went to the school building, they saw some of the classrooms have their own themes. As they reached Kourin's, they were greeted by two male students wearing butler suits.
"Yo! Welcome to the cafe." Said the student with spiky red hair and bored face.
"Ishida! That's not how you greet the costumers, for Pete's sake!" The other one with glasses exclaimed.
"Yeah yeah…"
"Uh… Come on in!"
Suiko and Rekka then went inside and saw how many people are there, they saw the students wearing maid and butler clothes. They saw Kourin serving and Rekka quickly called on her.
"Kourin!"
Kourin glanced and saw the two as they sat, she went to them. "Hey, what do you like to order?"
Rekka then gave a smirk, "You look cute there, don't you Kourin?" She teased.
"S-shut up…" Kourin blushed and looked away.
"Aw come on, don't be shy~"
Aichi was walking around and saw the sisters, he only smiled as he looked at them. But then, Suiko noticed him and looked back, giving him a frown. Aichi looked away and then went back on doing his task.

"Kai, you seem to be enjoying that, huh." Miwa said to Kai.
Kai looked at Miwa, "They are cats. Even the egg is designed as cats."
"Ah…" Miwa chuckled and continued to eat.
"Kai-kun, Miwa-kun. If you like cats, the 3rd year classroom has cat designs. And since Kai-kun likes it, why don't you take a look?" Aichi suggested, then both him and Miwa noticed how Kai quickly reacted.
Kai stood from his seat and grabbed Miwa's shoulder, "I'm going."
"We'll be going then, Aichi. See ya!" Miwa then followed Kai as they went out.

Kai and Miwa went to the 3rd year classroom, where they were greeted by Misaki. She is only on her school uniform but she has cat ears attached on her.
"Welcome," Misaki greeted.
"Tokura, you're cute." Kai said, Misaki blushed.
"Woo! Kai is right, you really are!" Miwa grinned.
"You guys… Just go inside, the cats are there." Misaki replied and watched them as the two boys went to pet the cats.
"I'm not cute…" Misaki mumbled. "Stupid Kai…"

The day ended and everyone is going home, but Kourin and Aichi stayed. They both made sure that no one will notice them, the two are still at their classroom.
"Kourin-chan… what were you telling me earlier about Rekka-chan?" Aichi asked.
"Oh, about her…" Kourin sighed, "She said she's sorry for hurting you and not letting you explain for what you want to tell them. And… Aichi, we have some problem."
"What could it be?"
"Takuto… might bring us back to our old place if someone sees us together." Kourin said.
Aichi got surprised by her words, "What? That's unfair!"
"I know, so we better be careful." Kourin replied.
Aichi then looked at the window and nodded, "I guess we better be."

Kai and Miwa were walking home, Kai surprisingly has a smile as he was holding a kitten.
"How many cats do you have now, Kai?" Miwa asked.
"…Twelve." Kai replied and looked at the kitten on his arms, "This is the twelfth one."
"That's a lot, Kai. By the way, what's its name?"
Kai smirked, "Misa. Just like Tokura's name."
Miwa then gave a smirk, "Heh… Misa, huh. Kai, you seem to be getting a big crush on Misaki."
"…shut up, Miwa." Kai said and pats Misa's fur head.
