A/n: Hi! I'm back!!! Thank you for voting and commenting!!!
Kousei went into a deep comatose state after he was immediately taken back to the hospital the night he was rescued from Satoshi's hold. Since his shoulder had bled so much, he had lost a very significant amount of blood causing him to go on a dangerous hypovolemic shock in the surgery while his surgeons were scrambling to save him. Blood was immediately prescribed into him to keep his heart thumping and working for him. Also, they were able to prevent their patient from going into another shock after they had done their best to keep his heart beating while they were closing his huge wound.
At the time the surgery ended, everyone he loved began to feel relieved upon knowing that he's finally in a stable condition but due to blood loss, they don't know when he will wake up. She was very much hurt that time to see him suffering after the three years they haven't even seen each other. She was the one sick before Kousei lost his memories and she didn't know what kind of pain she gave him for the long time she had spent in the hospital.
"Please wake up, Kousei!"
...
The nasal cannula had already been taken off from him when the doctors found him in a sleep state three days later and for a very long time, nurses go to and fro in his room to keep his unconscious body medicine and exercise his body. A week after he had been in coma, Prince Izumi and Kaori became aware that he's opening his eyes already which made them very happy.
Prince Izumi ran off to get a nurse and a doctor to immediately check him. He may have lost Aquina but Kousei was like a child to him with whom he had connection with. Kaori watched Kousei wake up. He saw her teary face for the first time after weeks of his long sleep.
"Kao...ri," he whispered. "Kaori."
Kaori held his hand tighter and she was shocked when she saw him crying. "Kousei, Kousei. What's wrong?"
Kousei also held her hand tightly until a nurse and a doctor went inside to look after him since Kaori gave way to them to examine him. They immediately checked his eyes, his speech, and if he could move his leg. Since he feels a bit dizzy, his doctor found out that he's still confused.
Dr. Takigaoka, a male doctor and the only one available at that time, assured them that Kousei is fine but he would still need a lot of rest. The nurse took his temperature and found it normal. Both of them left afterwards.
Kousei's still awake and at the same time, he was looking at the open window without any emotion at all. He seemed detached, too.
"Arima?"
"Kaori."
"So you can speak already."
"Is it true I fell asleep for weeks?"
He could still feel the pain in his shoulder where he had his bullet wound that was reopened when Satoshi kidnapped him. Now, it's bandaged completely.
