13 years later

'ANI!!! I AM GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU!'

'Aww!! You'll fuck me and then kill me? Or are you going to fuck me so good that I can die in bliss?'

'WHAT THE FUCK! YOU PERVERTED ASSHOLE! YOU DARE COME BACK HERE!'

'I will, my love. I will for you.'

Anirwin, now 16, was THE most popular boy in his school. He had girls all over him all the time. He was very good looking and he was the star athlete of his school. He, however, had eyes only for one girl, Jhaanvi. Needless to say, she was also the only one who couldn't care less about him and was always shrieking his ears off when he was around her. He lived with his dad and grand mom.

'Whoa! Where have you been? You look messed up!'

'Uncle! It's Jhaanvi. Again!'

'Hahahahahahaha! What happened?'

'Well..... Some guy asked her out and she agreed and then he cancelled on her. And she's mad at me! Like as if it's my fault!'

'Are you sure you had absolutely nothing to do with him cancelling on her?'

'Um... No! I mean... why would you think that?'

'I don't know, Anirwin. Any idea why he did what he did?'

'yea... I guess... I mean. I don't know..somebody apparently told him that she was already taken and if her boyfriend finds out, he will thrash him around.'

'Oh! That's interesting. And what do you have to say about that rumor?'

'Nothing, Ani uncle. I mean.. she doesn't like me.. maybe I should move on?'

'That's up to you. But don't spread rumors like that. That's just plain mean.'

'I didn't spread that rumor.'

'Sure, you didn't!'

'Why would I?'

'Come on, Anirwin! If it was true, you wouldn't be looking so happy and excited. Instead you would be looking like, somebody sucker punched you.'

'Oh. Wow! I guess that's right. OMG! Why are so girls so difficult?'

'I asked myself the same question 17 years ago. I still haven't found an answer. But that's why we are so much in love with them. They are mysterious and dangerous but really cute and understanding. Don't worry. She will admit it soon.'

'I hope so! Where is dad?'

'In the garden with both your grandmoms.'

'Oh ok. Uncle?'

'Hmm..'

'Do you ever get angry because mom chose dad over you? Did you ever get angry?'

'Honestly? Yes. I did. The week after I left Janani was the hardest. I still don't know if I was more angry or sad. But one day I thought about how happy she must be with Dave. And that made me happy. So, I was kind of happily depressed. But, you know something? Your mom made the right choice. Sure, I would have been insanely happy and kept her like a princess if she was with me. But, she loved your dad more than anything. I wouldn't be surprised if she loved your dad more than she would have loved you.'

'Do you miss mom?'

'Yes. I do. Not so much because you are here. But, yes. I do.'

'We all do.' said Dave as he entered the living room where Anriwn and Anirudh where having their conversation.

Dave: 'Ani. Your mother was amazing. I always miss her and so does your uncle, your grand moms and everybody. But, don't you worry, don't you worry, child!'

Anirwin:'Dad! DO NOT SING AGAIN. PLEASE! ESPECIALLY NOT WITH ANI UNCLE HERE. SERIOUSLY!'

Dave:'I don't even know why I have to put up with this humiliation.'

Anirudh: 'Hahahaha! Come on, Dave. We all know I have an amazing voice. Thank you, Anirwin!'

Anirwin: 'No. Actually what I meant is.... Ani uncle shouldn't go deaf. If he does, who will help me with Jhaanvi?'

Anirudh: 'That the only reason why?'

Anirwin: 'Pretty much yep!'

Anirudh :'That's about enough proof that you are a douchebag, very much like your mother.'

Dave: 'Okay. Both of you, Ani and Ani! Shut it! Grandmom's calling for dinner.

Anirwin was the closest to his Ani uncle. The duo had a chemistry that not even Dave and Anirwin had. Anirwin meant the world to both Dave and Anirudh. They never forgot Janani. She lived on, through her memories, her laughter echoing around the house and mostly through Anirwin. He had his mother's eyes. They were a happy family and Janani was always a part of it.
