THE END OF THE DEAL

She got home at 8 in the evening. She still couldn't believe in everything that has happened today. They spent the whole day celebrating her birthday and the engagement that happened earlier. She looked at her hand and was amazed by the beauty of the ring he gave her. It was astounding.

She bit her lips and sighed, Dang, I'm getting married tomorrow.

Elle entered her parents' house first and roamed around. She smiled. She has been smiling several times now and she doesn't get tired of it.

Pure happiness.

At 9 in the evening, she's done fixing herself. She was told that the wedding ceremony would start at 8 in the morning tomorrow. She was surprised. By how Aga managed to plan all of these without her knowing.

He has explained also that the meeting he had with Ms. Arceo was solely about the wedding. She apologized.

She laid down her bed and stared at the ceiling. And smiled again.

She tried closing her eyes to get a nice sleep but she couldn't fall asleep for she's not used to sleeping without Aga beside her.

They've been told about the tradition that they should not see each other at least a night before the wedding itself. And it's quite hard for her. So, Lea had to go home at her parents' house while Aga decided to stay at his unit. She misses him already.

Charot! Ang arte ko lang.

She took her phone and dialled Aga's number. On the third ring, he picked it up.

"Yes, babes?" he asked. She smiled upon hearing his voice. Aga's voice through telephone is life.

"I can't sleep." she told him.

"Well, we share the same problem." he answered.

"Ags..."

"Hmm?"

"Are we really getting married tomorrow?" she asked.

"I can't believe it, too, babes. But, yes and yes, we're getting married tomorrow."

"Lea, I love you."

"At mahal din kita, babes."

"I can't wait to call you my Mrs."

"Can I see you tonight?" she asked, someone's getting so clingy.

"Gusto rin kitang makita. Pero, babes, this is just for a night. After nito, magsasawa ka na sa mukha ko." he giggled.

She giggled, "I'm getting excited. Ayaw ko nang matulog."

"You have to sleep. Ipon ka ng energy tomorrow. For sure, mapapagod ka bukas."

"Mapapagod nga ba ako, Aga?" she teased him.

"Let's see, babes. Let's see. Okay, sleep na tayo. Okay na ako. Narinig ko na boses mo. Goodnight, babes."

"Goodnight."

--

She woke up at 6 in the morning the next day. She's glad that her body clock worked well since she didn't use her alarm clock. She went out of her room only to see her relatives busy fixing theirselves and putting their make-up on.
