Gab was sitting by the garden. He was wearing a denim jumper with a red shirt underneath. He was holding a book and pencil. Perhaps, it was his homework that he was doing. I watched him for a bit. He looked so angelic from a distance But, it wasn't what I noticed. It was where he was staring at that caught my attention. I followed where his eyes trailed and saw that he was looking at a young girl wearing a pink floral dress. She was around his age with blonde wavy hair, blue eyes, small nose and tiny lips which was so cute. She noticed him staring at her and she smiled at him. Gab smiled back. Then, he stood up from his position. What is he going to do? Is he going to approach the girl? Well, obviously that's what he would do. But, why do I feel as if he shouldn't do that? He walked towards the girl... I suddenly felt something heavy in my chest. The girl also began to walk. I wanted to scream. Inch by inch, they become closer... And when they had stood face to face, Gab leaned in closer and he wa--
My eyes opened as soon as he was about to kiss her. So, it had been a dream... I stared blankly at the ceiling as I tried to remeber that exact moment. I closed my eyes, trying to remember but it seemed that I have already forgotten about it. But, I was certain about one thing: Gab was about to kiss a girl. Who was it though? Why would I dream something like that? It felt like a happy dream. But inside me, it felt different. It felt the opposite of what it is supposed to be.
I tried to scramble off my thoughts to forget about that dream. I cleaned my room and went downstairs for breakfast. The manor smelled like freshly-brewed coffee and toast. I suddenly forgot everything after having a smell of it. It was very relaxing. Josh and Lazette were already in the dining table (as usual, they were teasing one another), Gab was also there. He was helping Vanessa and the others prepare the food. Rose was the only one absent from the table. I wonder if she's still asleep, or what if she left us again to do something more important? I glanced at the door of her bedroom. It was closed.
"Good morning Bri!" greeted Lazette cheerfully.
I was startled. I looked at her, surprised. I gulped and smiled. "Good morning."
"You okay?" asked Josh. "You seemed rattled." He studied me for a moment then he chuckled and said. "I see. No need to explain."
Lazette hit Josh in the head and said. "That is so rude, Josh! You can't keep on reading other people's mind. It's disrespectful!"
"Ow!" he massaged where Lazette hit him. "And how about hitting people's head? Isn't that disrespectful as well?!"
"Oh, don't star--" Josh made awful faces at Lazette. He looked childish for a 99-year-old wizard.
"WHAT a beautiful day it is today we're having, huh?" interjected Vanessa, as she placed plates on the table. She looked at Josh and Lazette who suddenly decided to stop arguing. I didn't get to see how Vanessa looked at them but I guess I'm thankful that I didn't see her face.
"What date is it today?" asked Gab while we were eating. He was eating cereals.
"Hmm... why'd you ask Gab?" answered Lazette with another question.
