"What do you want, Jonas?" Eva tried to make it clear that she didn't want to talk to him, especially not right now when Chris was right next to her. She could feel him being uneasy right as if he was about to jump Jonas.

                          
"I'm trying to keep you from making more mistakes." Jonas stepped closer and looked directly at Chris. Then he hissed: "And one big ass mistake is sitting right next to you."
                          
Chris wheezed and shook his head in disbeliefe but she knew him well enough to know that he was everything but amused. "Jonas, don't you have some weed to smoke? Eva can make her own decisions and she doesn't need you as her dad." With a dirty grinn he added: "Besides, she already has a daddy."
                          
'Why, Chris. Why.' He couldn't keep his mouth shut and just let her handle the situation...
                          
"We're going somewhere and it's none of your business." She bend over so she was able to talk to Jonas out of the open car door. "So what. Do. You. Want." Her voice was quiet and cold, emphasizing every word. And for a second it seemed like her ex-boyfriend was intimidated by her, as he stared at her with his mouth open.

                          
But then he took a step towards her, coming very close to her face. With a slow and serious tone, he said: "Eva. I'm telling you: Be careful." She could notice the familiar smell of weed and other stuff that he usually smoked and that made her want to throw up. Back then when they would be a couple, she used to like that smell because it made her feel less anxious for some reason. But right now it reminded her of everything bad about Jonas.
                          
Just when she was about to answer something, he grabbed her wrist tightly, which took her by surprise. He had never layed a hand on her like that... "Do not fall for him and his dirty game. He will just use you as his little slut and then throw you away like trash. I thought you were smarter than this, don't you know him good enough by now? At least that's what you always say as an excuse."
                          
His grib was starting to make her skin sore and she could feel the pain rushing through her wrist. What on earth was Jonas on, that was not at all the boy she had fallen in love with. It was someone who scared the shit out of her...

                          
"You're hurting me, let go." She tried to pull her hand away but that made it worse.
                          
Eva could notice how Chris undid his seat belt and moved closer to her, trying to grab her hand and help her. "Dude, i swear to go if you don't let go of her-"
                          
"Do you understand me, Eva?" Jonas looked like an absolute psychopath and her heart started to race. Although she knew that she wasn't in danger, she began to panic and could feel how she was tearing up.
                          
In less than one second Chris had managed it to jump out of the car and ran around to get to Jonas. He shoved him away from her so he had to let go of her wrist. "Take your fucking hand off of her, are you crazy?"

                          
It was as if Jonas had been in trance this whole time, because now he blinked and shook his head as if to wake up from a bad dream. "Don't touch me. I-I know you will hurt her. Why don't you just leave her alone?!"
                          
Chris clenched his jaw, he turned his head around and looked at Eva with narrowed eyes, as if to ask "Can i beat him up?" She quickly wiped away a tear that had made its way down her cheek, then she shook her head. The boy with the messy brown hair moaned but he held both of his hands in the air to signalise that he wasn't going to start anything.
                          
"I think you better back off. You were clearly hurting her and that's not how you pleasure the ladies, at least not the right way, alright? So get out of here before i lose it."
                          
Jonas gave Eva a quick look, then his eyes wandered back at Chris. He was breathing heavily and licking his lips, then she could see a thin line of blood running out of his nose. Chris had barely even touched him, how was that possible? Chris saw it too which she could figure from the way he raised his eyebrows but he stayed mute. 
                          
Then Jonas wiped the blood away with the sleeve of his sweater and averted his body from the both of them just to be gone a few seconds after.
                          
"Did i..." Chris turned his head around. "I mean you saw what happened... Did i punch him or anything? Because i frankly don't remember." He seemed to find all of this hella funny, as he walked back to the driver's side of the car laughing and got in. "Anyways, let's go. A surprise is still waiting for you, baby girl."
                          
Eva couldn't even pay attention to what he was saying, all she could think about was Jonas and the way he had just acted. Something seemed off about him, he clearly wasn't himself. And she could sense that more than one big surprise was awaiting her but not a pleasant one...
