(nobody's pov)
"Demon Spawn has gotten a girlfriend!" Jason practically yelled, tumbling into the kitchen. Tim turned around, a confused look on his face as he tried to unwrap a poptart.
"I don't know what's gotten through your head, Jay, but Demon Spawn is as emotionless as a rock." Jason ceremoniously shook his finger, holding the newspaper he had in his hands up to Tim's face.
"Holy shit. Where's Dick?"
---
Soon the entire batclan, excluding Damian and Bruce, had settled themselves into Bruce's study, and Jason was practically bouncing at the information as Tim read off the first page to the others.
"'And even though earlier, the young man had proclaimed that he was not looking into a relationship at the moments, specifically not one with the elusive 'Miss Roth' I had captured a picture of the two in the garden.'" Tim flipped the page to show to everyone. "Thank god for Lois Lane and her ongoing grudge."
"Kori owes me ten dollars." Dick mused, taking a sip of coffee.
"Who's gonna tell Bruce? Oh my god, I want to be there to hear him give him the 'use protection' talk." Jason sniggered at the thought, before he abruptly stopped, staring at the entrance of the study, trying to stifle laughter.
"Todd, what do you find so amusing-" Damain's brows furrowed as he tried to look at the paper Tim was holding in his hands. "Drake, what the hell is that?" Cassandra quickly skipped out of the room, pulling a complaining Stephanie with her.
"Everyone, scatter!" Jason said sarcastically and quickly ruffled Damian's hair, before doing a quick jog out of the room. Dick really wanted to see this go down, though, so he didn't make a move. Damian snatched the paper away from Tim's hands, realization dawning on him as he realized the picture was from the instance of him and Rachel last night. There was literally a picture of him making out with Rachel printed in at least six different papers. He didn't hesitate to rip it in half.
"This is why I hate Superman and his family!" He threw the ripped papers down to the ground, shoving into Tim before walking out of the room. He tried to get to Rachel before she sees it, but he had bumped into her in the hall, her holding a paper with the same image plastered onto the front page.
"Shit, I'm so sorry-" She held out the paper in front of his face.
"Damian, this is why you don't say snarky comments to journalists." They both paused as a book went flying past them, hitting the wall at the end of the hallway.
"You're dead, Wayne." Garfield was standing on the other side of the hall, both Jericho and Jaime holding him back. "You knew! You knew and you took her away from me anyways!"
"Logan, I didn't take anything away from you." Damian narrowed his eyes, anger beginning to bubble from within him. Gar threw both Jaime and Jericho off of him, moving quickly towards Damian. "I'd rather take this outside than have Alfred have to sweep your remains off the tile floor, if you don't mind."
"Damian don't invoke-" Raven could hardly get the words out of her mouth, before Garfield was throwing Damian off the ledge. Due to Damian's training, he was able to land without injury. Garfield jumped off the ledge, joining Damian in front of the door. Garfield pushed Damian through the door right as he opened it, causing him to lose his balance down the steps of the mansion.
Raven quickly ran down the stairs to see what was going on, but was stopped as she was walking out the door.
"Trust me, they won't stop until they're done." Dick let her go, and she clung on the side of the door, watching the fight between the two boys.
"You only did it in spite! That's the worst thing about all of this!" Damian cracked his neck, as though he was not listening to his words.
"I don't usually do anything out of spite, you should know that." Garfield morphed into a lion, charging at Damian. Damian's eyes widened, and he was barrelled over.
"It's very... cowardly to fight a man with no weapons... as a lion, Garfield." Damian struggled for air, but before it got to the point that he was straining, Garfield pawed him towards the nearest tree, morphing back.
"Give up? Or are you afraid to lose to me."
"I wouldn't be giving anything up, this fight is pointless." He spat back, standing up and wiping blood from a cut he had acquired on his forehead. "I'm only participating so you can fully get your anger out."
Damian smirked as Garfield growled, running before changing into the form of a tiger, his intent being wasted as Damian jumped at the exact moment, his hand outstretched and catching a pivot on the tiger's back. He easily fell back upright, as Gar sunk his claws into the ground, stopping his run. The tiger growled.
"I didn't feel like being smacked into a tree this time." Damian breathed, and Garfield snarled before forming back into himself, advancing on Damian.
"I never liked you, you were stuck up, nosey. You always tried to be like your father." He shot his arm out, smacking his fist across Damian's face, who didn't even stop him. "You will never be like him." Damian finally snapped, yelling and throwing himself towards Garfield, but before he could even touch him, he seemingly disappeared, leaving Damian in a mist of confusion.
Raven stepped down a few steps of the manor, cautiously watching the torn up grass below, trying to figure out where he had gone.
Before she, or anyone, could figure it out, Damian was covered with a snake. Snake Garfield wrapped itself around Damian loosely, whispering, more like, hissing something in his ear.
"That's real humorous Garfield, maybe something would've happened if you weren't an overly emotional, perverted assho-" His words were cut off as the snake tightened against his neck, straining his ability to breath harshly.
"Gar- Gar, stop!" Damian choked out, falling backwards. Dick and Jason rushed past Raven down the stairs, but before they could even reach them, there was a blast of green light, and Garfield was flying off Damian, still a snake. He morphed back as he hit the ground, but before he could get up, another blast kept him down.
"Garfield." Kori pressed her lips together, standing above him with her hands on her hips. He looked up at her, chest heaving and incredibly angry.
"Leave." Raven managed, back turned while watching Dick and Jason carrying away an unconscious Damian. "I don't care where you go, whether it be the tower, or who knows where, you could've killed him. That's unforgivable." Garfield swallowed, looking down, past Kori and Raven to see Damian, Dick, Jason, and now Tim carrying him into the manor.
"I'm- I'm sorry." Raven pointed towards the gates, not saying anything. Garfield picked himself off the ground, anger not quite subsided, and looked again at Kori, who said nothing, looking at him sadly.
"If it'd been me, it would've been different." He muttered, brushing past Raven. She turned and narrowed her eyes.
"It wouldn't have, because nobody else here would deliberately try to kill someone over someone else. Leave." Garfield turned around, looking at the others on his team. Nobody was vetoing the decision, not even Jaime.
"Fine, fine! Don't come and beg for me to come back though!" He morphed into a cheetah, slowly walking towards the gates, before slinking through a space in the bars, and running off.
Damian was given extensive care, at the request of his father, in the batcave, and had Alfred taking care of him for the time being. He had to stay at the Wayne manor, though, as everyone went back to the tower.
When they got to the tower, a lot of it was trashed, the food was gone, the rooms were messed up, Damian's having his entire library toppled over and clothes everywhere. There was no sign of the Beast Boy. Tim had come back with them in Damian's place while the Robin recovered.
There was no further word from Garfield other than the tower's look, and he was officially taken off the roster as a titan, his keycode being removed from the towers' database so he could not come into it without permission. The mood was down for a week or two, before Damian showed back up, with a new titan to replace Garfield's spot.
