"Lauren, you stayed back for the past few weeks everyday."
"I know Camz, I'm just really stressed out right now. I'll be home by seven."
"That's what you always say." Camila mumbles underneath her breath.
"Camila..."
"I know, I know. Just call me if you need a ride this time, instead of showing up her again."
Just as Lauren was about to head off, she placed a tender kiss in Camila's cheek, as she puts her arms around her neck. Camila instantly placed her arms around Lauren's waist with no doubt.
"Hey." She starts softly. "I'm sorry about that. It was late and I didn't want to bother you. I know you been working extra shifts because I haven't been able to work, and I wanted you to get as much rest as possible. Do you work tonight?"
"No, I asked for an extra day off so I could pack our stuff before we go back home. We are going back home right?"
"Of course. Let me just get some things done and we leave as scheduled, like we planned. How's Duke?"
"A little nightmare. He chewed his way through two pairs of shoes of mine." Camila pouted.
"I have to go." Lauren checks her watch as sees she is running late.
"Call me when you're done, so I can pick you up."
When Lauren was about to answer she noticed Camila's clenched jaw, as she looked past her. Lauren turned around to see Grace at a distance smirking at them.
"I will. See you later." With one last peck on the lips, Lauren is out of sight.
She ignores that little interaction, thinking that it's still about Camila losing a job to the other girl. She pushes it to the back of her mind and focuses on what needs robbery done.
Camila watched Lauren walk away, and couldn't be more grateful as she notices Grace walking towards her.
"Ouch. What's with the bitter face."
"I told you not to come around me when my girlfriends around." Camila makes clear.
"Why not, you haven't told her yet? Oh Camila, you're just making things harder than they have to be, the sooner your little girlfriend finds out we use to hook up, and knows we're going to work together all summer long. Alone. Together. The better. Don't you think?"
"If you say anything, I swear..."
"You what? Don't forget I'm doing you a favor Cabello, I can easily replace you with anyone. Watch your mouth, and what you do. See you later." Grace (in her own way) flirted with Camila, as she walked away with a sway to her hips, that would have anybody drooling for her.
Anybody, but Camila.
Camila exited campus as fast as she could wanting to be away from everything. Lauren wasn't the only one under pressure.
Camila tried not to speed her way home, it's not like she could have helped it even if she tried. Now that she was alone most of the time she's had the chance to do something.
Something she shouldn't be doing.
When she pulled up to her parking space, she headed up to her apartment as fast as she could with a craving.
