I hear the keys in the front door and i put my hand on my gun in my pocket and spin around to be faced with my boyfriend séan, I relax and move my hand. I notice that his shirt was stained red and he was gripping his shoulder. It didn't surprise me as séan was in a gang and he often came home battered and bruised and, well, shot. It was a difficult life but the one I chose.
"Come on then let's get you cleaned up" i take his hand and walk him to the bathroom being careful not to hurt his shoulder.
"Is the bullet out?" 
"Yeah" he throws his head back wincing from the pain of the rubbing alchohol.
"I'm sorry I don't want to hurt you but we don't want it going infected now, do we?"
"Its alright l love ya all the same"
"Aaaand we're done" i finish up putting the bandage round his shoulder an admire my masterpiece not the bandage, séan.
"Thanks, love" he stand up and gives me a peck on the cheek.
"Oh no you're not getting out with just that" i pull him into a proper kiss and I wanted it to last forever but there was a knock at the door.
"I'll get it" i say getting ready to pull fire on whoever it might be
"Not on my watch you won't you're to precious and I can't have you getting hurt" he gives one last kiss on the lips before he walks down stairs with his gun in hand and answers the door. That's when the shots where fired I ran to sèan as he collapsed from a shot to the leg and i fired my gun at the people on the other side of the door I got one of them in the arm and the other in that knee as the try desperately to get away i quickly close the door and lock it before returning to sèan who was now unconscious that's when I notice the amount of blood pouring from his leg. 
"We've got to get you to hospital."
I get him up somehow and into my car  (i know neither sèan or signe can drive but in this they can) i drive as fast as I can before I get to A&E once the receptionist sees how much of a bad state Swan is in he instantly has doctors at his aid. As they take sèan away i run after them tears forming in my eyes. The nurses hold me back.
"Ma'am, Ma'am you can't go in with them"
I fight as much as i can but I'm tired
"Please i need to know he is ok please" the tears are streaming by this point 
"If you could please wait there Ma'am a doctor will be out to talk to you soon they push me down, and i dont get back up as I'm just to exhausted I soon fall asleep.
I wake up to a man shaking my shoulder "Ma'am, Ma'am" i wake up instantly.
"Y-yeah" i look up at the tall figure infront of me i can tell he is a doctor by his white jacket and latex gloves.
"Ma'am we have some bad news concerning your friend séan McLoughlin"
"Oh no" i instantly start to cry again
