“Cas?” Dean held the door long enough for the rest of them to enter the cabin. The door closed shut and it slightly darkened in the room.

Sam grabbed the curtains and pulled it open making the light shine into the room.

A small groan came from the corner of the room as soon as Sam pulled the curtain back. “Cas?” Dean’s voice was mixed with worry for his friend. Ever since his fall, Castiel’s been a bit of a drug addict. Actually a major druggie.

“Over here.” Castiel’s gruff voice called out.

Charlie and Becky hanged near the door while Dean and Sam tried to get Castiel together. Sam didn’t like seeing his former angel friend like this, it sometimes gave him a feeling of hopelessness. That even the angels, who were no longer in touch, were helpless against this situation.

“Hey buddy, are you okay?” Reaching for Castiel’s arm, Sam helped Dean pull Castiel onto a chair.

Okay was hardly the word he would use to describe the state he was in, “I’m fine. I got some news you should know.” Castiel glanced at Charlie and Becky and gestured for them to join.

Becky was a bit nervous to be around Castiel. Their last meeting wasn’t that pleasant though Sam did fill her in about the state Castiel was in right now.

“A powerful force has come into being. An nephilim.”

“Another one? Don’t we have enough problems with one right now?” Dean groaned sitting on the edge of the table.

Frowning, Sam asked, “I thought all the angels left.”

Castiel shook his head, “Not all of them. But this is different, she wasn’t just made into existence, she’s already been born. For some reason, she had been hidden from all angels, just recently a few felt her presence.”

“She?” Becky took a sit across from the ex-angel. And how could someone hide their existence from angels? Was that even possible? There was many things Becky still didn’t know about the supernatural world.

Charlie sat down and swung her legs onto the table. “I thought angels were supposed to be all knowing?” Her resurrection into this crazy world apocalypse hasn’t been an easy one as well as trying to caught up on all the things she’s missed since she was, well... dead. Sometimes, Charlie missed the continuous comic cons and meeting all her favorite characters.

“I don’t know how this being was hidden. But this could be very  bad. If Jean finds out, which she likely did, she will use that child.” Castiel didn’t care for much after the world had got to shit. But this was serious business, business even he couldn’t ignore.

Pondering in silence, Dean had the usual unreadable face as he processed this. Another nephilim had appeared. If they work this well, this could actually come into their advantage, but there was something weird about this. A tingy feeling of something that Dean couldn’t quite put his finger to, but it was telling him something was off.

“Maybe we can use her against Jean?” Sam suggested saying aloud what the others were thinking. But saying it and actually being able to do it was another thing. “How do we find her?”

That was a good question.

Castiel opened his mouth to say something when John burst into the cabin. “We have a problem.” He took note of the atmosphere and added, “Hope I’m not interrupting anything.”

“No what’s wrong?” Dean already had his gun in his hand.

“There’s been a fight, with one of the scouts. They encountered another group and fought for the supplies.” John kept the door open but his muscles were alert and ready to run to fight for his people. His military training and medical experience had really come in handy when they first made base camp.
