"Enjoy your stay at Beacon." Glynda had finally finished her speech. Jess groaned. "How long was that speech?" She asked. "Around..." Blythe checked the time. "Twelve minutes."
"Ugh, this is so boring." "I know." Blythe replied. "But we're getting closer to Beacon. Apparently we'll be there in five minutes." "Good." Jess sighed.
"S'CUSE ME! VERY IMPORTANT PERSON COMING THROUGH!" A voice yelled. A girl with short purple hair and violet eyes barged through them, her hands outstretched, pushing Jess and Blythe away from each other. Jess accidently fell into a second year, who happened to be a tiger faunus. "Oh, sorry!" She apologized. The boy shrugged it off like it was nothing, smiled slightly, and walked away.
As Jess regrouped with Blythe, however, the two came face to face with a blonde fox faunus. She wore a black crop top, jeans and black high heeled boots, and was followed by a crowd of boys, who were all either blushing, drooling or just tagging along with the crowd.
"Who is she?" Blythe whispered. "No idea." Jess whispered back. The girl stared at them for a second, and then finally spoke. "I'm sorry about my friend who pushed you earlier." That was all she said, and then she walked around them.
Jess raised one eyebrow. "Okay..." "That's... weird." Blythe admitted.
The girl who had pushed them earlier placed her hands on her hips. The tiger faunus boy stepped on her snow white lab coat, and she clenched her fists together in anger.
"HEY! GUYS! LISTEN, LISTEN!" She yelled over the fanboys. "YOU CAN GET AN AUTOGRAPH LATER, OKAY?! CAN A SINGER LIKE LOKI GET SOME PEACE FOR ONCE?!!!"
Jess immediately started squealing. "Jess, are you okay?" Blythe asked. "Yeah, I'm fine! I can't believe she's here!" "Who?" "LOKI! LOKI BYZZI! PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST SINGERS EVER!" "Sorry, never heard of her." Blythe sighed. "She's the daughter of Sebastian Byzzi. You know, that guy who always got #1 in top ten best singers lists! The guy who sung that really really good song back when I was like three." Blythe shook her head.
Jess frowned. "They really don't like music in Atlas, do they?" She whispered. "Pardon?" Blythe questioned. "Nothing, nothing!"
---
"So what do we do now?" Blythe asked. They had finally arrived at Beacon, which had changed over the past few years ever since Ozpin "died" and the academy was destroyed.Jess shrugged. "My guess is follow everyone else. They seem to have an idea." "Okay." Blythe nodded.
Jess froze suddenly. "Jess?" Blythe raised one eyebrow in confusion. "They're coming!" She dived behind a bush, and then whispered. "Tell me when they have gone!" "Who?" Blythe asked. "THEM!"
Aaron and Imogen were walking down the path towards Blythe, talking away about classes and making friends. "That Lacey person seems so nice!" Imogen commented. "She is kinda cute." Aaron admitted.
"Oh, hello." He smiled warmly at Blythe. "My name is Aaron, and this is my sister Imogen!" "Hello." Imogen nodded towards Blythe. Aaron stuck out his hand. "And you are?"
Blythe frantically looked through the bushes, where she saw a Jess's bright emerald green eyes staring right back at her in worry. Aaron coughed. "And you are?" "B-Blythe!" Blythe replied, while not looking at him.
Aaron and Imogen looked at each other, as if Blythe was insane, and they set off down the path again.
"Are they gone?" Jess asked. "You're fine." Blythe said. Jess sighed in relief.
"What do you have against them?" "They're my brother and sister. They... didn't want me to come to Beacon." Blythe gasped. "Why not?!" She asked. "You're a really nice person!"
Jess didn't know what else to say. She knew if she revealed her actual age, Blythe would take off to find a teacher.
"Uh, just because really." "Oh." Blythe fell silent. "Well, they're not very nice then."
Jess laughed. "Trust me, you do not want to see them when they are angry."
---
Night was already beginning to fall when Jess and Blythe joined to others. Once again, a huge crowd of boys were around Loki and her sidekick. "Loki, you're amazing!" One said. "You're sooo pretty!" Another sighed.
Jess could tell that Loki was trying to hold a smile. She glanced in her sidekick's direction quite a lot, who had changed from her lab coat into her pyjama's, which were all brown. She wore some goggles, and was fiddling about with a weird green substance.
Jess yawned. "I'm getting pretty tired, actually." Blythe nodded. "Yeah, we've been wandering around for ages." She said, but the time she said that, Jess had already dived into one of the sleeping bags and was fast asleep.
Blythe smiled. She had already decided who she wanted her teammate to be, and that was Jess.
