FoxFrost fidgeted in his nest. Ivybloom's tail twitched as she slept. Occasionally it would wake him up so he just stopped trying to sleep. He suddenly heard a noise from outside. He sat up which conveniently woke Ivybloom up. "What is it?" she asked. He shrugged and walked to the den entrance. He sniffed the air "Hey what's that-" his words were cut off as a ginger pelt dashed out of the leaders den. "Fox!" ivybloom screeched running to the nursery. Some of the warriors woke up. Mumbling/asking what was happening. The clearing reeked of fox with some droppings near the entrance. Ivybloom came out of the nursery. "No kits were attacked" she said walking to the leaders den with him. "Do you think ReedStar is awake?" Ivybloom asked pushing her way into the den. She screeched "ReeStar is dead! ReedStar is dead!"
Practically the whole clan rushed over. FoxFrost peeked and saw ReedStar's dead body covered in blood and the smeel of fox. Scratches covered his whole body and blood dripped from his mouth. His eyes were closed and blood pooled around him. Ivybloom sat next to him, nose on his head and tears in her eyes. FoxFrost darted forward hoping he was still alive. Warriors came into the den rushhing around them. Grasspelt pushed her way through the crowd. "Every one get out please" she said. Most of the warriors left. FoxFrost nudged ivybloom as Dewleaf walked up to them "Come on" Dewleaf said. She nodded and followed them out.
"I know nobody ever knew" Ivybloom sighed "But he was my father, my mom wasn't very proud" Dewleaf blinked with surprise "i'm so sorry" she said. BirchLeaf called the clan together "I know this is a hard time" she said "Grasspelt has confirmed it was a fox that killed him. Some warriors saw a fox leave the camp" she sighed "This will be a sad gathering in a few days and tomarrow i am going to head off to get my nine lives" Some cats murmured until she continued. "We all know a decision must be made, but for now we need rest, it is after moon high so the decision will be put off until then" Dewleaf lay in her nest, thinking of what FoxFrost had told her.
