Starting the journey to the past

It was abnormally dark... It gave me the most ominous sense of danger.. I took a deep breath as I walked into the room where father was lying. He looked pale, even though he wasn't dead. I went ahead and kissed his forehead. Trunks Briefs, the warrior of the future, who saved the world so many times, is now lying in bed.. He needed my help.. I couldn't see father like this.

It was so dark that I hardly noticed my mother. She was sitting next to father's bed, hugging a blanket. I slowly went to her, only to realize that she was sleeping. I then gingerly blushed her hair sideways. My mother was very beautiful.. Even though it was dark, her face sparkled. I slowly shook her, and then she abruptly gasped as she looked around.

"WHO? WHAT? Oh.. It's you, sweetheart." She looked at me, dazzled. I hugged her. "Mother... I think I should get going."

I could hear her sniffling, as if she was crying. "Trai... Take care of yourself..." She wiped her tears and hugged me, "Please be safe.."

I managed to pull a smile on my face. "I will mother.. I will."

She then slowly got up and walked outside the room. I followed right after her. She then handed me a cylinder shaped object which was most likely meant to be the time machine's fuel.

She then hugged me one last time before I left. "Take care Trai..." She murmured.

I hugged back and kissed her cheek. "Don't worry mom! I'll be back, and I'll make sure father is okay!"

Mother smiled as she helped me get in the time machine. "You're lucky your father had a spare fuel prepared fro the time machine!" She patted my head. "Like father, like daughter."

I smiled back as I started setting the time and location of the time machine. Luckily, there was a manual guide I could follow! Mother stepped back as she waved at me. I waved back.

And then, I took off.

"Until we meet again, mother....."
