"Luke." Ashton smiled as he spotted the blonde sitting with Kellin. It was another one of Kellin's parties and Jack was off with Alex.
"Ash." Luke smiled up at the curly haired guy.
Ashton loved that Luke called him Ash.
"Hey, Kellin. Great party, as always." Ashton said acknowledging the guy next to Luke.
"Hey, thanks, glad you could make it. Where's Jack?" Kellin asked looking around as if to spot Ashton's boyfriend.
"He went off with Alex." Ashton shrugged.
Luke frowned.
"Let's get you a drink."
"Okay." Ashton agreed allowing Luke who lead him to the kitchen.
"How are you?" Luke asked inspecting Ashton's mostly faded bruise.
"I'm good." Ashton smiled.
"Things are good between you and Jack?" Luke pressed as he made Ashton a drink.
"As good as they can be." Ashton shrugged taking the cup from Luke.
"Did you guys get into another fight?" Luke asked. He hadn't seen Ashton since the day he went back to Jack.
Before Ashton could answer Jack appeared next to Ashton.
"Ashton, there you are." Jack huffed.
"Hey." Ashton smiled at his boyfriend.
"Who's this?" Jack asked frowning at Luke.
"A friend of Calum's, remember?" Ashton answered.
"Oh, yeah, Jake right?" Jack asked.
"Uh, Luke actually." Luke corrected.
"Right." Jack turned to Ashton then.
"I'm going upstairs with, Alex, Zack and Rian."
"Oh. What for?" Ashton asked shifting uncomfortably.
"To finish a song. I'll come find you when we're done." Jack said before walking off towards the stairs.
Luke watched as Jack followed Alex upstairs. Zack and Rian were nowhere to be found. Luke frowned before turning to Ashton.
"Do you trust Alex and Jack together?" Luke asked suddenly.
"I don't trust Alex but I trust Jack." Ashton answered honestly.
Luke wanted to mention that Jack went upstairs alone with Alex but what if Rian and Zack were already up there?
"I get the impression you don't like Jack." Ashton sighed.
"No, not at all. He treats you like shit." Luke answered shaking his head.
"He just does relationships differently." Ashton shrugged.
"Sounds like a BS excuse to me. Just sayin'." Luke shrugged back.
"Can we talk about something different?" Ashton asked bit his lip.
"Sure." Luke grabbed Ashton's hand and lead him to the front porch.
"What are we doing out here?" Ashton frowned.
"We don't get to spend much time together. I wanted to hang out with just you. It's quiet out here." Luke smiled taking a seat on the porch steps.
Ashton smiled and sat next to Luke.
"You have a great smile, you know that?" Luke complimented.
Ashton's cheeks flushed a light pink.
"Thank you."
"Sorry if that was inappropriate." Luke noted Ashton's discomfort.
"No, that's not it at all. I'm just not used to being complimented." Ashton explained.
"Really? But you're hot." Luke was surprised.
"Oh." Ashton giggled nervously.
"Jack never compliments you?" Luke frowned. There was no way. Ashton was perfect how could anyone not compliment him?
Ashton shook his head.
"Wow, well, I know a few people who would kill to be able to compliment you." Luke smiled at Ashton.
"Are you one of them?" Ashton asked suddenly. He caught Luke completely off guard.
"Uh, I-"
"There you are." Calum said opening the front door. Luke felt relief flood him.
"What are you- Oh, I see." Calum interrupted himself when he noticed Ashton sitting beside Luke.
"What's up?" Luke asked.
"Just wondering where you disappeared to." Calum answered.
"Hey, Cal." Ashton smiled at his raven haired friend.
"Hey, Ashton. Where's Jack? I'm surprised he's not throwing a fit about you being out here alone with Luke." Calum commented.
"He's upstairs with Alex, Zack and Rian." Ashton answered sadly.
Calum frowned.
"I see. Well, I'll leave you two alone." Calum turned to go back inside.
"It's not like that." Ashton spoke hurriedly.
"I didn't say it was." Calum said raising a brow.
"Oh." Ashton felt the embarrassment on his cheeks. Truth was Ashton was starting to like Luke. He was always there for him and treated him like he was a priority.
"You okay, Ash?" Luke asked the honey haired blonde.
"Luke, why are you so nice to me?" Ashton asked suddenly.
"W-what?" Luke frowned in confusion.
"You're so sweet and caring. Why?" Ashton clarified.
"You're a good person who deserves to be treated well." Luke shrugged.
"Luke, I-" Ashton bit his lip, looking down.
"Ash, what's wrong? You know you can tell me anything." Luke urged gently. He secretly hoped Ashton was going to tell him he didn't love Jack or was going to break up with Jack. But instead Ashton placed his lips on Luke's. Luke sat stunned for a second.
Ashton started to pull away when Luke gripped the back of Ashton's head pulling him into a much deeper kiss.
Ashton grabbed Luke's shirt pulling him even closer. The kiss was needy yet passionate. Ashton had never been kissed like this before, even from Jack. Jack!
Suddenly Ashton pulled away from Luke.
