Red

                                    

                                          
"Okay so what's your favorite color?" Caitlin asks. They had been going back and forth just having light conversation. "Red of course. My suit is red." He smirks at me. We are siting in chair next to each other, but both of us are on the edge of our seat with dangerously little space between us. 
                          
I fight my reaction to him saying his suit was red. It was red in my dream. Barry's hand goes up to move one of my red strands that fell in my face. "Cait what's wrong?" He is on high alert as if the metas he talked about were going to knock down the doors of Jitters. I try to turn away from his gaze knowing I couldn't lie to him. "Cait" he almost growls. "Barry I had a dream of you and Ronnie last night. You were in a red suit and Ronnie was on fire." 
                          
I feel Barry flinch, bringing my attention back to him. "Caitlin I'm so sorry" he turns his head away from me. I can feel the pain rolling of off him. 
                          
I pull his face back to facing mine. "Barry in my dream you tried to save Ronnie. You tried. That's all you can do. Tell me,  your earth, is this how your Caitlin lost her Ronnie?" 
                          
"Yes. For the second time."
I look at Barry's broken features and decide to tell him the other part of my dream. "Barry in the dream I felt more pain at your rejection at my touch then Ronnie's death. 
                          
"Now I don't know  if that was me or your Caitlin feeling-" At that moment my words are cut off by warm lips connecting with mine. His lips pause waiting, waiting for me to pull back, waiting for me to react. For a second I am completely frozen, but then I lean into the sweet kiss. I let my hand go up to his curly brown hair and the other on his chest. Barry pulls back way to soon, leaving me with my eyes closed trying to take it all in. "Wow" I whisper as his forehead rests on mine. "Wow" he agrees.
