Chapter 1
Jay's POV:
Another math test failed. Why do I even try? Dad was picking us up from school. I saw the car and turned to Jenny and signaled her that Dad was here. We both got in the car and I put on my seat belt and pulled out my phone.
"Hi princess."My dad said, focusing on the bumpy road.
"Hi."I said nervously, not wanting to think about the test.
"How was school?"He asked, his voice soft.
"Good."I said really hoping the math test doesn't come up.
"That's great."He said. Silence.
"How was the math test?" He asked breaking the silence.
I said nothing.
"Jay?" He said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah?" I asked, my heart racing.
"Are you gonna answer my question?" He asked, suspiciously.
"Busted!" My sister, Jenny, whispered-yelled. We both turned to Jenny, Dad giving her a look.
"Um...what was the question?" I asked nervously.
"Never mind. We'll talk about this later." He said dismissing the subject, annoyed. Thank The Lord!
Justin's POV:
I knew she was trying to avoid the subject. Math wasn't her strong point. She was more creative. She was on dance team, cheer team, mock trial and the school newspaper. Am I proud? Yes. But I wish she would apply herself in math more. She is a straight A student in all her other subjects. But she's barely holding on to a 'C' in math. We finally got to the gate. I entered the code. We got to the house and both girls got a snack. This was going to be a long night.
A/N: That was the first chapter! How do you like it? :)
