[ Emily's POV ]

"Emily," Louis' delicate voice pulls me back into reality, "wake up." Blinking rapidly, I open my eyes, and see Louis smiling at me.

"Hi." I whisper, my voice scratchy since I just woke up.

"Hey baby, how'd you sleep?" Louis asks, as he lifts me off his lap, and exits the car.

"Fine." I mumble, as today's events come rushing back, causing my mood to worsen.

"Glad to hear that. Now, come on. All the boys are inside, let's get you home." Louis says softly, seeming to sense my poor mood. Standing up on the seat, I stretch my arms out to Louis, who picks me up, and pulls me against his warm chest. Not really wanting to talk, I bury my head in his torso, fisting his shirt tightly, not wanting to fall.

"Emily!!" Niall's voice pierces the silence, causing a small smile to make it's way across my face. Louis places me gently on the ground, and I run over to Niall, who's grinning at the sight of me.

"Hi Niall." I say quietly, as Niall kneels down so he's more my height, and hugs me tightly.

"Glad to see you out and about." He says, as he stands up and reaches for my hand. A war rages on inside me; should I trust him or not?
After all, he and the rest of the guys nearly allowed my daddy to take me back. Biting my lip, I screw my eyes shut, the silent battle I'm facing causing me physical pain. Looking up at Niall, I see how his bright blue eyes are filled with confusion and worry. "Emmy?" He questions, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine." I say quickly, turning my back on him, and walking towards the stairs.

"Emily!" Niall shouts, which is enough to make me burst into a sprint, desperate to be alone so I can think.

"G-go away!" I beg, running into my room. Shutting the door, I lock it behind me, ignoring the shouts of the boys.

"Emily!" It's Liam, "Please! Open up! What's wrong baby?" He asks, clearly not understanding why I'm doing what I'm doing. To be honest, I barely know what I'm doing. I just know that I need some time to think, and that I have to be alone to do so.

Wearily, I walk over to my bed and flop down on it, my emotions everywhere. I desperately want to trust the boys again, but I don't know how I can. They nearly lost me to my evil daddy. If he had gotten ahold of me again, I can't even imagine what he'd do to me.

"Sweetheart?" Louis questions through the thick oak wood of the door, "What's wrong?" Staying silent, I don't reply to his question, still unsure of the answer.

"Love?" Now it's Harry, "Please baby, we just wanna help."

"Angel, please, just open the door." Niall says quietly, sounding as though he's about to cry.

"We love you." Liam whispers, which is enough to make me burst into silent tears. The more seconds that pass, the more tears fall. Burying my head in the pillow, quiet sobs rack my body, making it difficult for me to not make any noise. Gasping for air, I grab an extra pillow and hug it tight, my knuckles turning white from how hard I'm gripping it. Rolling over onto my back I stare at the ceiling, trying to block out the sounds of the boys talking to me.

"Please," I finally call out to them, trying my hardest not to stutter, "I'm trying to think. J-just leave me a-alone." Not wasting a beat Louis says,

"What are you thinking about baby?" Shaking my head, I make it so I'm not laying on my belly on the bed.

"I-it's not important." I say softly, not wanting them to know that I'm currently having a breakdown.

"If it's important to you, it's important to us." Niall explains. Sighing in distress, I try to not give in and allow them into the room.

I fail.

Hopping off the bed, I hurry over to the door and unlock it. Seconds later the door is thrown open and all four boys stand there, confused and anxious looks upon their faces.

"Emily," Louis gasps, running over to me and pulling me into a tight hug, "I was so worried. We all were." Frowning, I lower my head in shame,

"I'm sorry."

"Baby, what's going on? You can't just lock yourself in your room all day, we've been on edge for hours." Harry says, and I can tell he's trying hard to stay calm.

"I-I, after everything that happened a-at the store, I don't know. I-I was just so spooked and I didn't know i-if I could trust y-you guys anymore." I whisper, my old habit of stuttering returning. All of the boys' faces sag, and their expressions go cold and distant. "Please don't be angry!" I beg, suddenly terrified of the four men in front of me. I've never seen them so angry.

"Y-you didn't trust us? Even after all we've done for you?" Niall asks dumbfounded, like it's the most insane thing he's ever heard.

"N-no?" I say, but it comes out as more of a question.

"You little-" Harry begins, but Liam yanks on his arm harshly.

"Don't." Liam hisses at him angrily.

"Please!" I raise my voice, shaking in fear and uncertainty at this point. All of a sudden, Louis drops his arms that were wrapped around me, and stands.

"Lets go boys. She clearly doesn't trust anything we say anymore." He speaks, his tone filled with fury and betrayal.

"You guys!" I yelp, "Wait-" I'm unable to finish my sentence, for the four walk out my bedroom door and slam it behind them. "No!" I screech, scurrying after them, only to find that they locked the bedroom door from the outside. Baffled that they're this angry at me, I lean against the door and slid to the floor, a stream of never ending tears running down my cheeks.

I've officially ruined everything.
