Slowly, her fingers began tracing small swirls over Darwin's fur as he lay beside her in the bed and smiled up at her. She so desperately wanted to smile back at him and she usually would but today she had woken up in a strange mood, unlike any mood she had ever really felt herself slip into before. She knew that the doctors had been in her room during her sleep because she had woken up just as they were leaving but she had no idea what they had done. She wondered if it was perhaps anything to do with the sad mood she had woken up in but she couldn't be sure. She moved her finger tips from Darwin's fur and up to the top of her arm where she felt just a little bit of pain in the area they usually gave her injections but that didn't make any sense. They didn't give her injections while she was asleep, well she hadn't thought so. She then wondered if she was just being paranoid and had really felt nothing but there was no denying that she was usually an optimistic person and that persona could not be adopted today. Darwin climbed up to her face and crawled in a ball under her chin but she still didn't feel to be in a good mood so slid her body further under the covers and looked up at the ceiling.
There was a faint knock on her door followed by Marcy's head popping from around the wood and a smile to spread across her face. Marcy looked over at Beyoncé with an unexpected sympathetic glow to which Beyoncé ignored and turned her head away from the woman looking back up at the white ceiling.
"Why aren't you out of bed?" Marcy asked, Beyoncé wanted to ask her questions about why they wanted to turn her into some sort of weapon and what it was they were hiding from her but she refrained, knowing that something dangerous could happen if they knew that she and Shawn had discovered a bit of the truth, and then ignored Marcy not really feeling in the mood to talk to her. So much for acting normal. "Seems like someone is grumpy." Marcy teased as she took a seat at the end of Beyoncé's bed and rested her hand on her leg, "I thought you might like to join me for some breakfast in the resturant" The woman began, "I know you didn't have a good day yesterday which is probably why you're in such a poor mood. Why don't we get something to eat? You'll feel better and I'll even give Shawn the day to spent wholly with you. I know the two of you have become good friends." Beyoncé couldn't tell what these people wanted from her anymore, it was all so confusing and full of secrets and missing information so nothing made any sense any more. Once upon a time she thought she knew it all, she thought they had explained why they wanted her but they lied and they've been lying to her for years. Who's to say that Shawn's theory was even right?
"I'd rather not go for breakfast." Beyoncé replied to Marcy, The woman smiled softly and then nodded her head before letting her eyes catch sight of a monitor on Beyoncé's neck that even Beyoncé hadn't noticed. When Marcy leaned over to pull it off Beyoncé was almost completely certain that they had injected her with something in her sleep and they were monitoring her body to see if it had worked which is probably the only reason Marcy had even came into her bedroom at all: To get the monitor.
"Must have left this on after the simulation." Marcy chuckled and shoved it into her pocket but Beyoncé knew for a fact that they were all gone after the simulation and Marcy was just trying to make it seem like they hadn't put a new one on in her sleep. Beyoncé nodded her head tiredly before allowing her mind to open and let the monitor in Marcy's pocket disperse. The new addition to her abilities was something she was sure they didn't know about yet and so Marcy would have no idea that Beyoncé had gotten rid of it when she went to look. Beyoncé didn't know exactly what it was monitoring but she was going to mess up their data as much as possible to prologue everything enough to give her and Shawn the chance to find the truth.
"Do you think you could send Shawn down now? I don't want to leave my room." Beyoncé slid herself even further under the bed sheets and placed her golden eyes upon Marcy who gave her a small smile before placing a soft kiss on Beyoncé's head.
