Katelyn POV
"Kendall, I'm staying here because I care about you."
"This bullet wound isn't the one that's hurting me." We both looked at each other because we both knew who was hurting him.
"Kendall-." He waved me off.
"You've said your piece. You can leave now, I don't need you. Maybe it's not such a good idea for us to be close. What I want isn't what you want. I don't wanna let you go, but you..." He looked away from me, "you already let me go." I saw the sadness in his eyes. He was truly hurt. I hurt him.
"I'm sorry." He shook his head.
"No, this is all my fault. The way our relationship is now and how you act toward me, it's my fault. I seriously fucked up. I get it, but you don't have to keep reintegrating that we're not together."
"I know it hurts you, but stop trying to make moves on me and I will." He nodded slowly.
"Alright, fair enough, but you can go...if you want." Maybe it was best for me to leave. I know he truly didn't want that, but we should probably have some space.
"I'll go." He let out a sigh. I walked over to give him a hug.
"Don't."
"Why're you being like this?"
"Katelyn, it hurts me. It physically and emotionally hurts me to touch you because I want more, so much more. Don't tease me." With that, I walked out of his house to my car. I put the key into the ignition and started the engine. All of a sudden, I broke down. I began crying my eyes out.
I keep fighting this feeling. I fight it so hard. I just have to face that I love Kendall, I really do. I have been fine any other time, but it's different now. We've gotten closer, that's a problem. Seeing him all the time is a constant reminder of what we had. I just don't think we should be together, and yes I may be wrong, but as far as now, we need to create distance.
I put the car in reverse and backed out the driveway. I'm still crying, lots of tears are pouring down my cheeks. I'm very emotional because I hurt him. He wants distance and I want distance, wow, something we can actually agree on. A loud horn erupted in my ears as I felt a strong impact.

"I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. This is all my fault, all my fucking fault. I'm sorry Katelyn, I'm so sorry. I love you so much, please wake up. For Kylie, wake up for her."' My eyes blinked open slowly. The bright lights hit me hard. I felt something soft on my cheek and I felt kissing on my shoulder. It was Kendall's hair, that's what was soft.
"Kendall..." I felt him shoot up and look at me.
"Katelyn. Katelyn. I'm so glad you're awake. Don't scare me like that, please." Then I felt him kiss my lips desperately. I would've pushed him off, but today he almost lost me, so I needed to feel his lips too because years ago might've been the last time we kissed. Kendall and I both knew we cared and loved each other deeply. Hell, even if I was in a relationship someone or if he was, we still would've kissed if something like this happened.
"I'm fine Kendall. I'm okay. I'm here." He caressed my cheeks and looked at me with so much worry. I've never seen him like this.
"I'm so sorry. This is all my fault. You could've been dead...because of me." He shook his head and started tearing up. "K-Katelyn when I saw you at that car crash...I-I thought you were dead, I thought you had left me." He cried out, I held his hand. "And on my mind, all I had was me refusing to hug you and..."
"Kendall."
"I'm such an idiot, you know?" He wiped his tears. "I'm such a fucking idiot. When I first saw you ten years ago, I knew that I wanted to be with you. I knew you could help me, fix me, show me the way. Of course I'm the leader of a gang, many people wouldn't agree with that, but that's just my way of life and you understood. I'm not saying it's a profession someone should go in. Kylie will never be near a gang, ever, I'll make sure of it, but you understood me." I started to tear up, I remember that exact day I met Kendall.
"You were that perfect Christian girl, with both of your parents, your brother, you being spoiled, having those typical family dinners where you sit at the table and everyone talks about their day." He looked away. "My parents were dead. I had no one at all. I had no family whatsoever," he began tearing up again, "b-but then you came and turned my life around. You were okay with the path I chose to go down, it wasn't the best path, but you understood that. You showed me love I didn't know I had in me. You help me do so much Katelyn. I don't know what I would do without you," I was now crying again, harder this time.
"You've given me a daughter and she's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Katelyn, I was going to be such a bad person, I was going to be a horrible person, but you've given me morality. I didn't care about shit, nothing at all, not even myself. You've given me life, you gave me everything Katelyn. I love you so much."
"Kendall." I chocked out. He was really spilling his heart out to me. I've never seen him at all like this before.
"I just wanted to show you how valuable you are to me. Your parents still hate me to this day, but you didn't listen to them. You're brother is great too, he didn't listen to your parents either. I wanna show you something..." I looked at him curiously. He looked nervous. He went in his pocket and pulled out something silver and it sparkled in the light.
"This is the engagement ring I was gonna give you."
Hope you liked it. Until Next Time.
