Chapter twenty-nine

                                    

                                          
It was around noon when I started to think about texting Mingus to see if he wanted to hangout today. Me and Mayzie were flipping thru T.V. Channels when we got on TMZ. They were talking about Norman Reedus. I gasped when I seen what they were showing. Mingus and Norman were in a car accident this morning. I immediatley jumped up from the couch and grabbed my phone. I stood there for a second then I starte to cry. I didn't know what to do or who to call. I went to text Mingus's for the hope that someone would answer. Me and Mayzie waited. I was crying for about five minutes when I got a text message from Mingus
                          
(M-Mingus R-Racheal)
                          
M- Hey I'm fine I just have a broken arm and a few scratches on my face. I'm at the hospital down the street. Don't know what it's called.
                          
R-Oh my god. Alright is ur dad alright?!
                          
M-Yeah, he knocked out but the doctors said he's fine. He has 2 broken fingers and a cut on the side of his head
                          
R-oh my gosh, i'll be there in 5 minutes. 
                          
M-Ok
                          
I was still really worried even though Mingus said He and his dad were ok. Mayzie looked at me and said "Well let's get going!" I nodded and we ran out of the apartment
                          
We didn't bother getting a taxi, we just ran. The hospital was 2 blocks from the apartment building. It took us about five minutes to get there. We ran into the building and walked to the lady behind the desk. I was breathing heavy but managed to say "Mingus... Reedus." The lady looked at me and said "Are you alright dear, you look like you just ran a marathon." I smiled and said "No, we just ran 2 blocks without stopping." The lady smiled and said "Mingus is in room 346. You'll want to take a lift it's on the third story." I smiled and said "Thanks." Me and Mayzie found the elevators and Mayzie pushed the three." When the doors open I almost ran but thought not to cause I might run into someone. Me and Mayzie looked around until I seen the numbers 346. I pointed toward the room and said "There." Me and Mayzie walked over to the room. I stopped feet from the door. I seen into the room. I almost thought I was going to yell. There was a girl in Mingus's room kissing him. I stood there speechless. I didn't know what to do, my heart felt broken. Mingus told me where he was and I took that as an invite. I came and now i'm staring at him and another girl kissing. Mayzie grabbed my arm and said "Let's go." I started to turn when I heard a deep voice say "Racheal" I looked over to see Norman. He looked worried and I walked over. Norman looked at me and said "What's wrong?" I looked at him and said "Mingus.. He's... He's kissing another girl." Norman groaned and started to get up from his bed. A nurse came over and said "Sir, I don't think you should be walking around." Norman smiled and said "Sorry but I need to do something important and look i only broke my two fingers. I'm fine" the lady didn't look too happy but she walked away. Norman started walking toward Mingus's room. The girl was standing next to Mingus's bed and they were both smiling. I felt like I was gonna run into that room and punch him in the face. Norman opened the door and Minus looked over and saw me. He stopped smiling and he looked sad. All of a sudden Norman looked at the girl and said "Who the hell are you? You look like you're 19 years old?! What are you doing in my son's room and why were you just kissing him?!" The girl stepped back and smirked then said "Pft i'm his girlfriend." Mayzie looked at me and I looked at her and said "Are you serious?!" I walked toward the room, I felt so much anger. Norman turned around and grabbed me into a hug, I was freaked out at first then i slowly hugged him back. I laughed a little and said "Ok what are you doing?" Norman pulled me away and said "Don't knock her out. You look like you're about to murder someone." I smiled but my anger came back. The girl looked at me and said "she ain't gonna knock me out"I looked over at Mingus an said "I hope you know that you are never to talk to me again." Mingus didn't say anything I walked out of the room and Norman ran up to my side and said "Hey, wait" I turned around and said "What?! I'm done. I'm going back to the apartment and i'm packing my things. I'm done here. My trip is ruined and i'm upset." Norman looked down and said "Come on, no don't go. He made a mistake." I said "Mistake? He was smiling. He enjoyed it. He can have that pathetic girl. I'm not forgiving him." Norman grabbed my head and pulled it up so I was looking at him. He looked me in the eyes and said "Racheal, he loved you and I don't think he would throw your guy's relationship for some girl that doesn't know how to talk right" i laughed and Mingus walked out he was yelling at the girl to leave him alone. The girl looked over at me and said "I texted you, I wanted you to see me and him." Norman looked at the girl. He looked so pissed Norman said "Leave now before I really get mad. You have no right to even be near my son. I never want to see you near him again. You understand me?!" The girl looked at norman and said "You can't stop me from doing anything. I looked over to see a cop standing there with handcuffs. He was looking at the girl and he said "Well I sure from what i've been hearing. You are wanted for sexual harrassment. I'm gonna need to arrest you." The girl looked at the cop before saying "F*** you." And she started running down the hall. The cop started chasing after her. Me, Norman, Mayzie, and Mingus all stood there really confused. Mingus stepped up to me and said "I didn't enjoy that kiss. She got me by surprise. She said she was one of my dad's friends." I didn't say anything I just looked at Mingus. Mingus looked down and said "I'm really sorry." I didn't know what to believe. I stood there before I found myself grabbing Mingus and kissing him. Norman laughed and I felt Mingus smiling in our kiss. I pulled away and then said "This better not happen again." Mingus smiled and said "I swear it will never happen again." Mayzie and Norman smiled at us.
