FoxPaw yawned as he followed FlameFeather. Dewpaw, her mentor, and Nightclaw followed close by. The rest of the clan surrounded them. The air was warm even though it was night. The full moon sparkled above their heads. "I can't wait!" Dewpaw said as she jumped onto the tree brige. It was their first gathering as apprentices. "Yeah me either" he said solemly. 'Honeypaw should be here though' he thought grimmly as he climbed onto the tree. It had been almost two moons since she got injured, but they seemed to be fresh every night. They still hadn't figured out how it happened, though he had over heard her mumbling something under her breath about a hawk. He jumped onto the other side of the log landing on soft grass. He realized they were the first ones to the gathering. Dewpaw went a different way with Mintfur as Foxpaw followed NightClaw and FlameFeather to a spot by the great oak.
They were chatting about something so Foxpaw turned his head to the tree bridge. DarkStar pushed his way through the dead branches. IvyPaw and her mentor padded up to him. The brand new apprentice jumped with delight. "I'm so excited!" she said. "Me to! Do you think Shadowclan will really be mean?" Foxpaw replied. "We're cats like you!" Both apprentices turned their heads to see a Shadowclan warrior smiling. They appologized then went and sat with their mentors. Windclan had arrived already and ThunderClan was just coming over the tree bridge. After a moment SquirrelStar called the meating to a start. "All is well in ThunderClan" She said "Two new kits, Featherkit, and Rosekit were born to er- um BrownBellly" an excited murmmer began and BreezeStar sat up. "All is also well in Windclan" she said "The rabbits are running well, but not fast enough we can't catch them" a few chuckles rippled through the clans
"A new apprentice was made, SwiftPaw" The clans chanted "Swiftpaw Swiftpaw!!" the shy apprentice ducked his head. Foxpaw realized that was going to be them. ReedStar shook his pelt then began to speak. "Preys running well and the river is swift. Two legs haven't been that big of a bother, but we also have Four new apprentices!" he said "Dewpaw, HoneyPaw, Foxpaw and Ivypaw" they chanted their names. Dewpaw puffed out her chest as Ivypaw ducked down. "We also have a new warrior, CloudStorm!" They chated his name "Shortly after the ceremoney" he continued "I am sad to report one of the apprentices, Honeypaw, got injured somehow" some gasped and pittyful mews were said then DarkStar stood up. His eyes were for some reason full of rage and his fur was bristleing "Prey stealers!" he suddenly shouted at ReedStar.
