School was fine the rest of the day, but that was not what I was worrying about. No, no, I'm worrying about my detention and the people that will be there with me. Being the geeky goody-two-shoes that I am, this is my first detention. Really this is the first blemish on my profile. Man, I need to get out more.

When I walked into detention there was about four or five people that looked at me with disgust and curiosity. Nothing new really. They all looked at me like I was from Mars. I bet they have never seen me before and are checking to see if I pose a threat to them or not. I have never been here and I'm guessing the crowd doesn't get many newcomers. Fate must not be on my side today because my eyes met with the chocolaty brown eyes of bad intentions that I was hoping to avoid, even at his own party. He looks at me closer than usual, making me uneasy.

I decided that the best course of action would be to sit as far away from everyone as possible and read. I've never been to a detention before, do they allow reading? It's academic so they should be happy. Somehow, I don't think anyone is too happy here.

My blue hair fell in front of my face while I was reading and I got sick and tired of brushing it out of my face so I tied it up in a quick bun. Everything was all fine and dandy for about five minutes until Ava, Alyssa, and Alana walked in. I actually forgot that they had to be here too.

They glared at me before taking their seats. That's pretty much how it went, me reading and them not-so-silently hating me. I'm not sure why they're mad at me, their clothes would have gotten them detention anyways. The hour went by quickly and we were soon dismissed. As I got my things together, I felt an arm slide onto my shoulder.

"How's it hanging beautiful?" Blake cheers, his heavy arm weighing me down. Damn, this boy is heavy as hell if this is what his arm weighs.

"Don't call me that," I growled with pseudo anger, shaking his arm off my body. Blake laughs and makes an attempt to get close to me again, but I dodge him. He's a really weird dude if he thinks this is a fun game. This is basically harassment. "See you at the party. Hopefully by then you will have developed a brain." I pat him on his cheek and turn on my heel to walk out, leaving a laughing Blake in the classroom alone.

I stop by my locker one last time to make sure I have all my homework. Seriously, they put the first day of school on a Friday so that teachers can throw homework at us and send us off. Luckily, it's hard to have homework in most of my classes, so I'm basically done. Just some Calc and Psychology to get done. I also make sure to grab the sketchbook Mr. Monroe handed out, figuring I could get some drawing done this weekend. The hallways are eerily empty because school ended over an hour ago. I feel like I'm the only person alive, these halls are so desolate.

Shaking my head of that thought, I throw my newly filled backpack on my back and head on out to my car while sending my address to my group chat with my friends. Once they send me a thumbs up back, I start my car and drive home. My phone automatically connects to my radio and music is soon blaring from my speakers. I love the feeling of being surrounded by music. It's like I can't feel anything with my other senses. I only have the sounds in my world. The drive home goes by far too fast and sooner than I realize, I'm already parked in my garage. The stalls next to mine are empty as always. I wonder where my parents are this time.

Walking into the empty house, I throw my bag on the floor and slide off my boots. "Home sweet home." I say aloud to nobody in particular. It doesn't really bother me as much as it used to, but being alone all day everyday is hard. Whatever, pity party over. The time is currently 4:40 and the party doesn't start until 7:00 so I have plenty of time. I decide to lay down on my couch and read on my phone for a while before I go to Blake's. It's right next door so I'm not too worried about the travel there.
