"This is incredible Max," Megan says. We all continue to stare at it, filled with wonder...
"You really can do anything, can't you."
I'm startled and the tractor flies toward us. The girls scream and drop to the ground and as I hold up both hands the tractor stops only a few feet from us, hovering...
As I ease it down the girls get up and Logan walks up to us. "Guys I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."
"It's alright. No harm done." I turn back to the tractor thinking about how close we just came to...
After we catch our breath from the close call, Megan turns her attention to Logan.
"Where did you come from?"
"My dad and I were looking at what's left of my car when I saw the three of you in the air."
I close my eyes, "Oh no... I didn't think we were that high."
"Don't worry. He didn't see you," I let out a sigh of relief. "But he was asking a lot of questions about how the door was ripped off."
Hailey steps forward, "What did you tell him?"
"I told him I couldn't see what was going on. I thought the door was ripped loose from the crash."
"Did he believe you?" I ask.
Logan shakes his head, "I don't know. I don't think I was too convincing."
Megan takes Logan's hands and smiles as they stare at one another. I can hear Megan's thoughts. "Are you the one. The one I've been waiting for all my life?"
He has a curious look on his face. "Did you just... say something?" Megan's smile turns into a laugh...
I shake my head, "It's hot. Let's get under some shade."
We all walk toward the old barn to get under some trees. Logan and Megan sit down on the old wagon as Hailey and I join them. Logan already knows about us and if he's the one for Megan it's time he learns more. I hold out my hand and show him the beautiful blue light...
"What's that?" He asks.
"This, is the crystal. It increases the ability of whoever holds it."
"That's how Max was able to lift the tractor," Megan explains.
Logan stares at it, "Can I hold it?"
I glance at the girls, "Go ahead." He gently takes it. While it was in my hand it had a blue glow to it. Now, the blue has faded.
"So, this contains power. I don't feel anything."
"It amplifies the ability of whoever holds it. It's kind of like turning up the volume on a radio."
He holds it for a moment and laughs, "Well, I guess this means I can't do anything."
Megan grabs his hand and suddenly it turns blue. She looks up at him and smiles.
