On the first page of our story
The future seemed so bright
Then this thing turned our so evil
I don't know why I'm still surprised

Even angels have their wicked schemes
And you take that to new extremes
But you'll always be my hero
Even though you lost your mind

Even angels have their wicked schemesAnd you take that to new extremesBut you'll always be my heroEven though you lost your mind

Being back to Hogwarts had never been so bitter for Susan.
She was carrying heavy new secrets. But first of all Tom could use the magic back and conclude the darkest project he had started.
So many changings in few months made her watch her schoolmate and her life as a student in a brand new way. People were talking about their holidays and trips. What could she tell? There was only darkness in her summer break spent with Tom, just forbidden adventures.

The news weren't exciting.
All the rules were more stricted, the physical torture as a form of detention were reintroduced for the worse crimes.
On the other hand just few muggle borns left the school. The attacks from the previous academic year didn't give satisfying results.
Gatlin Fawley was the new Ravenclaw prefect, replacing a girl who resigned her post. As Wilhelm Stark wasn't annoying enough.
The Knights and the followers needed to be tamed again.
Rubeus Hagrid didn't go to Azkaban, but Dumbledore insisted to make him stay as a gamekeeper. Just to torture the only two who knows the truth. Tom didn't care, but Susan was worried she could turn insane.

Susan had been sitting on the Astronomy Tower to watch the sunlight fading from the sky, when sighing sge heard a voice behind her.
"What are you doing here? I've been looking for you".
She stood up turning, feeling stiffened. She couldn't know when Tom decided to make his big step. Everything was ready. And she dreaded that moment.
"I just needed some fresh air" she let him walk closer to her. He had his usual puzzling expression.
He touched her face, then lowered his hand to take hers "Come. There's something I want to show you".
She let him lead her. They walked down some staircases, then walked past the Hall of Hexes to stop in front of a bare wall.
"Where would you like to be?".
She looked at the boy confused "I don't know".
"If you'd need to run away, where would you go? Focus on it".
She was so perplexed and stared at him trying to guess what was into his mind.
He shrugged and started to walk up and down the corridor dragging her with him, till she noticed that something appeared on the wall. A door.
She knew about the Room of Requirement but never needed to find it. And she understood why he wanted to find it.
Tom opened the door and they walked into a big room, what looked like a luxurious bedroom.

"So this is where you're gonna do it?".
He turned scanning her blank face "You're not even surprised or amazed by this place?".
"I'm more concerned for you" and his thanatophobia.
"It'll be alright. You just have to watch that I don't try to retreat in the process".
Like forcing himself in doing something so against nature.
"It will be over soon. Just one last obstacle".
She shook her head "I still can't accept that you make something so irreparable. It'll be like you lose an arm or a leg. Maybe it won't be visible but it will be worse".
"I didn't kill just for revenge. I won't waste my occasion".
"It's your choice".
"Yes, it's mine. So stop trying to change my mind" he snapped harshly clenching his fists, but soon opened again his hands.
She stared at him, hating feeling so helpless.
"So that's your final decision? You're making it".
"It's not just me" he said softer than the last time he spoke "I'm the Heir of Slytherin. I have to do this. For a greater good".
"Now?".
"Tomorrow night. So I'll have the weekend to recover if I may need it".
