A/n: I did a little time skip guys.. But only like a day. Yuri's currently skating around in the rink of the building where his first competition will be held.. You know, the one with Minami and shit. Yeah, so, here ya go (sorry this took so long, I had awful writer's block omg)
•••
I skate around the rink of the building I'd been anxious to walk into for weeks with only one thing on my mind.I can't screw this up again.
I finish off Eros, then taking my arms from around my body and breathing heavily. I walk over to where Viktor is standing on the edge of the rink and grab my water bottle, then taking a few sips and almost spitting it out when I feel Viktor's hand slowly inch up my arm.
"V-Viktor.." I say, my face flashing a bright red.
"Nobody's around, it's fine."
"Yes there are, Viktor.."
"Yeah, but they're like all the way on the other side of the room." He states sarcastically. I groan and hit his shoulder playfully.
"You're ridiculous."
"You love me." He throws back, his lips forming into a smile. I blush and glance into his eyes, then smiling slightly.
"You're right." I respond. His own face becomes dusted with pink as he stares at me.
"Stop being so cute." He whispers. I giggle, then pulling back slightly.
"Stop flirting so much." I say, laughing. I make sure to lace some playfulness in my tone so he wouldn't get the wrong idea and actually stop.
"You like it."
"I do." I respond. We both stare at one another for a moment before I look around, making sure nobody's watching before interlacing our fingers together from across the wall.
"B-but Yuri, there's people around.." He mimicked, acting shy. I roll my eyes and squeeze his hand tighter.
"Shut up." I respond, giggling. He stares at me for a moment before sighing in contentment. He rests his head in his open hand with his elbow propped up on the top of the wall surrounding the ice, then closing his eyes.
"What is it, Viktor?" I ask.
"Nothing. Just a little tired."
I nod, then leaning down slightly and pushing a strand of hair from his eyes.
"But don't close your eyes, Viktor, they calm me." I say. He opens his eyes a little, then blushing and grinning.
"You like them?" He says, wriggling his eyebrows.
"Who doesn't?" I ask, then winking at him and backing up slightly. "Your eyes are gorgeous."
I see his face turn beet red as he then lets go of my hand.
"Good to know." He says, then smiling. "Come on, Yuri. We have to go get your placing for Eros."
I nod, then exiting the ice and slipping off my skates. I protect them with the skating guards and then put my regular shoes back on.
Viktor walks up to me, then smiling as we walk down the hallway and into the room where they said they would give us our numbers for what order we're competing in.
I sit down as Viktor goes over to the side and leans against the wall, watching. I feel myself become antsy as many different thoughts run through my mind.
Please don't get first.. Please don't get-
"Yuri Katsuki." The man at the desk says. I open my eyes, then nodding and standing up to walk over to him. I take a paper from his basket and what catches my eyes makes me want to curl up in a hole and die.
"Yuri Katsuki will be performing his Short Program first."
My face falls. I feel depression well up in me as I walk back over to the seats and sit down.
"Ahh.. That's so cool!" A cheery voice says from beside me. I open my eyes in confusion and stare at the blonde boy next to me.
"Wh-what?" I ask, laughing a little.
"I got to watch you get picked for first again!" He says, smiling. I tilt my head to the side and show a confused expression.
"Again..?" I ask.
"You don't remember me?!" He asks, frowning. I feel guilt rise in my body but I shake my head.
"N-no.." I respond. I see his face fall and based off the expression he's showing I must've really disappointed him.
"I-"
"Minami Kenjirou." The man calls out. "Come up."
He looks away from me, then smiling brightly and scurrying up to the man.
He picks a card, then laughing and smiling as his eyes scan the paper.
"Minami Kenjirou will be competing fourth."
I sigh, then standing up and walking off. I feel my heart pound furiously inside of my chest as I rest my hand over my head.
I walk out of the room, then into the bathroom and leaning against the wall.
"Yuri, what's the matter?" Viktor asks as he walks through the door. "You seem a little off."
"I'm just really nervous." I say, my breathing becoming rapid. "Like, really, really nervous. And I don't know why.. I can't think of anything to calm me down, my entire body feels like it's going to shut down any second now and-"
"Hey, hey, Yuri. Shh." Viktor cooed as he rested his pointer finger over my lips to stop me from saying anything else. "Shhh."
I blush, then closing my eyes slowly and resting my head against the wall. For some reason.. I have this sudden urge to cry.
"Viktor.." I say.
"What is it?" He whispers.
"You aren't disappointed in me, right?" I ask. It falls silent for a moment before he responds.
"Why do you think-"
"B-because I'm getting so easily nervous over something so small." I sigh. "I'm twenty three years old, this shouldn't be a problem for me.."
"Hey, no, don't talk like that." He says, then leaning his face closer to mine. I feel my breath hitch in my throat as his breath fawns over my cheeks and leaves me wanting more. "I'm here, I'm not disappointed. I love you, Yuri, and I assure you everything will be fine."
He leans forward, not giving me the chance to reply as he presses his lips against mine. I moan slightly and wrap my arms around his back, then letting his tongue into my mouth as he licks my bottom lip.
In times like these, I guess I'm forced to just stop thinking, and..
Enjoy the pure ecstasy that I feel when he embraces me.
