Will and I were watching TV for a while before Manny finally woke up. When she did, she slumped out into the sitting room, sat down beside Will, and groggily rested her head on Will's shoulder. Will and I both just kind of stared at her for a while.
"Good morning." Will told her. She made a low noise that sounded like someone who was trying to scream without opening their mouth, but really wasn't willing to make an effort.
"Want some cereal?" I asked her.
"Sure." She replied just as awkwardly as Will. They both seemed nervous about seeming rude by accepting my offer. I thought it kind was of strange, but I understood the tentativeness behind their actions.
I walked to the kitchen and made Manny a bowl of cereal and brought it to her. She took it gratefully and began to eat. She took a few bites then began to chew slowly and she looked like she was thinking. She swallowed the spoonful that was in her mouth then looked at me questioningly.
"You poured the cereal before the milk didn't you?" She asked me. I furrowed my brow in slight confusion.
"Yeah. Why?" I replied.
"Because it tastes different. You have to pour the milk first."
"What? No you pour the cereal first so that when you pour your milk, you cover all of the cereal."
"You can stir the cereal up to cover it all."
"But it's easier to just pour the milk on top. Besides you need to pour the cereal first so that you know how much milk to add."
"You can just make an estimate on how much you need, but pour a little less, then if you need to, you can add more milk."
"Why would you waste your time pouring more milk when you can just pour the cereal first and get it right the first time?"
"You pour the milk first, because if you don't and you pour the milk second, the cereal will overflow out of the bowl."
"You can pick the pieces that fall out, in the trash or back in the bowl. It's not a hard mess to clean up."
"But why bother cleaning up a tiny mess, when you can just not make a mess at all?"
"Because it's worth it to get all of the cereal covered."
"I already told you, you can do that no matter how you pour the milk."
"But pouring the cereal first makes it easier."
"No it doesn't."
"Yes it does." I heard Will Start to laugh a little bit. Manny and I both seemed to come to our senses and we stared at him. I felt myself begin to blush slightly.
"I can't believe I just watched you guys get into an argument about milk." Will laughed.
"It's an important topic." I mumbled still blushing. Will just laughed more at Manny and I's ridiculousness.
The three of us continued to watch TV while Manny ate without much other conversation. Occasionally one of us would say something about the cartoon we were watching at the time, but other than that we kept quiet. I guess there just wasn't a whole lot for us to talk about. No, scratch that, there was tons for us to talk about. We could talk about why Andy avoided us when we were at Terence's house, or what Terence and I's conversations were about for that matter. I could ask them about their dad, or about their mom.
It was no secret that the Oak twin's dad didn't approve of Will being gay, much less him dating me, but their mom seems to be an entirely different story. She didn't seem to mind Will dating me at all, in fact, she seemed to be happy about it. She also didn't seem to be at all pleased with the way her husband had been acting about the entire situation. My respect for Aspen increased significantly the night of the wedding.
After a while, Manny, Will, and I got tired of just sitting around watching cartoons, we were trying to decide what to do when Annabelle walked out of her room.
She was in the middle of yawning and was rubbing her eye as she slumped over to me. Her dirty blonde hair was a mess, but it matched surprisingly well with her pink pajamas. When she reached me, she climbed up on the couch and curled up in a ball to my right, and fell asleep with her head on my shoulder.
I stared at her for a while. She did the same thing to me that Manny did to Will. Was that just a little sister thing to do? She did this frequently and I just never really noticed.
"So what are we going to do?" Manny asked. She didn't seem to really care that Annabelle was now there. Will and I both looked at her kind of startled.
"I don't know. What do you guy's want to do?" I asked.
"Well, Manny wants to go get some ice cream of cheese cake or something like that." Will replied. I was slightly stunned. Manny never said that she wanted any of that but it seemed to be 100% true. I couldn't help but wonder how Will knew that.
"I don't know. We could go see a movie." Manny said.
"That doesn't sound like a bad idea. Are there any good ones out?" I asked. Manny smiled devilishly.
"Uh oh." Will said.
"There's that new scary movie." Manny said. I felt myself blush. Will looked a tad bit redder too.
"I'm ok with seeing it. Are you?" Will asked me. I blushed even more.
"Sure." I breathed.
I woke Annabelle up as Will and Manny changed into their own clothes. Will in my room and Manny in the bathroom. Annabelle said that she was ok with watching the movie too and she hurried off to go get dressed.
After everyone was dressed and ready to go, we all climbed into Will's Durango, Will and I sat in the front, while Annabelle and Manny sat in the back. Annabelle and Manny began to make polite conversation with each other. At first, their conversations were loud enough for Will and I to both hear and mainly consisted of Annabelle giving Manny compliments on her hair or clothes, then all I could hear was indistinguishable whispers to accompany the occasional giggle from Annabelle.
"1...2...3," I heard Manny whisper. On three, her and Annabelle broke into song. "Taylor and Will sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby on a baby carriage."
I felt myself blush and I put my head down, refusing to make eye contact with anyone. I glanced at Will, he was blushing too but seemingly less than me. From that point on, I continued to stare out the window and not look at anyone the entire way to Will's house.
"What are we doing here?" Annabelle asked.
"Will and I are going to change into different clothes. We don't want to risk ruining our nice clothes." Manny replied as she got out of the car and ran to her front door. Annabelle and I were left in the car alone for a while.
"Is Will your boyfriend yet?" Annabelle asked me.
"Yes." I said happily.
"Have you kissed him yet?"
"Yes." I smiled.
"Is he a good kisser?"
"Why would you ask me that?" I felt myself blush. Not to long after that, I watched the Oak twins walk out of their house and climb into the Durango.
Will was now wearing a blue, plaid, button up shirt with dark jeans and white shoes. He definitely looked more himself. I smiled.
Manny was wearing overall shorts with a black t-shirt with black boots. Her hair was pulled into a ponytail and she seemed to be perfectly at home with the outfit she was wearing.
The Oak twins resumed their places in the Durango. I smiled at Will as he got in and I heard Annabelle compliment Manny.
Will and I held hands the entire way to the movie theater witch made Annabelle giggle slightly. I felt myself blush and saw Will smile hugely from the corner of my eye, so I blushed even more.
We finally arrived at the theater and Will and I help hands all the way inside too and we didn't let go until we had to buy our tickets and then we held hands all the way into our seats too. We, of course, sat next to eachother. The four of us sat in the back row.
We all talked quietly amongst ourselves until rhe lights dimmed and the commercials started.
