"You've got to try something before you can learn it, Kora," Elijah told her.

"We will be having a ball to bring our family together." At this moment, Esther had just finished explaining rules and things to her children, who are all sat in chairs listening. Of course, Kordeila wasn't really listening until now. She quickly sits up on the couch and looks her mother straight in the eyes, "A ball?" Esther nods with a small smile. "No! We can't have a ball!" she shrieks.
"Oh, come on, Kordeila. Why not?" Rebekah asks, looking over at her sister.
"I can't dance! I've never even been to a ball in my life!" she explains, throwing her arms in the air for emphasis.
"Uh, excuse me," Finn raises his hand slightly, "Hi. I'm going to agree with her, Mother."
"Oh, yeah. You've been dead longer than I have and I was actually dead. Point of no return dead," Kordeila snorts, cursing herself for laughing, but she just thought that was funny.
"Learn to dance," Esther tells the two, looking at each for a moment before leaving the room.
"Think we can teach each other?" Kordeila asks as she turns to look at Finn. He smiles and shakes his head in disagreement. His shaggy hair moves every which way, causing Kordeila to continue the conversation. "You need a trim, brother."
"Do I?" he asks, pulling on a few strands of his hair to get a better look at the length. "Personally, I think it's very short already."
"Not in this time period, I'm afraid."
"You know, Kordeila, I could always teach you the way of dancing," Klaus suggests, a smirk playing his lips as always. Kordeila and Klaus had a love hate relationship that seemed equally like Rebekah and Kol's. They'd push each others buttons and pull each other's hair, but in the end, they loved one another more than anything.
Kordeila laughed, looking from Finn to Klaus, "I'd rather have Elijah or Kol teach me. Thank you." She crossed her arms and looked between the mentioned brothers one shook his head and the other gave a small smile and weak nod. Who would you guess said yes?
Elijah was always the one to give in, and Kol only agreed to dangerous and exciting things...not alike to dancing. Kol was more into the bloody and risky things, Kordeila knew. She really hadn't expected him to say "yes" in the first place and was okay when he didn't. Elijah is probably a better dancer anyways, she thought to herself, looking at him with a wide grin. "Thanks 'Lijah."
___ ___
After endless hours of trying to teach his sister to dance, Elijah stopped and asked, "Are you ever going to learn, Kordeila? You cannot step on my feet or anyone's for that matter."
"I know," she sighed, looking up from her feet to Elijah, "I'm just not concentrating enough. We need some music."
He chuckled and shook his head slightly with a small smile resting on his face before he turned to find some music. Kordeila looked around the room after he left and called out, "Does that mean your getting it?" There was no response, so she sat in a chair and patiently waited.
A few moments later, Elijah hadn't returned, but Niklaus had. He was carrying a bluetooth speaker and his phone. His smirk was so devious, it make Kordeila stand cautiously.
"Where's Elijah?" she asked slowly, trying to peek behind him to see if Elijah was there.
"He gave the job to me, love." His smirk grew after he said this, knowing she'd get Elijah back later.
"Oh joy," she mumbled, rolling her eyes at Klaus' boyish smile.
___ ___
"Ouch!"
Kordeila wasn't sure how many times she'd heard that in the past few minutes, but it was really starting to bother her. "Niklaus, you barley get hurt when you've been shot. I think my foot stepping on yours cannot hurt that much, so if I hear you say 'Ouch' one more time I will rip your tongue out."
Klaus laughed slightly before saying, "Well, if you could learn how to dance we wouldn't be having this problem."
After a few more hours of learning, Kordeila finally had the hang of it, and in those few hours Klaus had bickered with her every five minutes. Kol, Finn, Rebekah, and Elijah all listened in from the other room in amusement.
Kordeila knew she wasn't fully prepared for tomorrow's ball, but she had to pretend she was to escape Klaus' teachings. She looked up to her brother and questioned with a smirk, "So, when do we get to give the invitations?"
