Anthony's POV
The next day Charlie, Amy and myself were all sitting at the dining table eating cereal which Amy had served up. Charlie would consistently throw her cereal bits at me.
"Charlie. That hurt. I thought we were friends." I joked acting offended.
"We are friends Anthony." She smiled and ate a spoonful of her cereal.
"Charlie. Stop doing that. You're making a mess." Mr Smith, Amy's father said as he picked up his briefcase. He placed a kiss on his older daughters head. "I should be home by three o'clock." Her dad said and waved to Charlie. "You don't mind watching them do you Anthony?" Mr Smith smiled at me shaking my hand.
"Dad. I'm not a kid." Amy rolled her eyes. Amy's dad was pretty dope. He was a environmental lawyer.
"Bye Daddy!" Charlie waved to her father and Mr Smith left.
"Dad never works on a Sunday." Amy muttered as she cleaned up our dishes. I ignored the comment.
"So, what are we going to do today Lil C?" I asked Charlie as I spun around on my chair to watch her run into the lounge room. It was a Sunday and it was a two show day. I will have to leave here at 12:30 to get to the Theatre.
"Do you want to colour in with me? I have a new colouring in book." She said showing me the book in her hands.
"I'd love to. Do you have any crayons?" I asked and she nodded and I followed her into the lounge room and laid on the ground with her colouring in. Amy used her phone to take a photo of us two.
"I'm so happy you two get along." Amy smiled sitting next to Charlie.
"Do you have a green crayon?" I asked Charlie as I coloured in a fairy scene.
"Here." Charlie said and would pass me the crayon which I asked for.
"Thanks." I replied and continued to colour in the picture. Charlie would messily colouring in her scene. She moved onto a plain piece of paper and began drawing.
"What are you drawing Charlie?" Amy asked her sister.
"It's a surprise." She smiled covering the piece of paper with her arms. "It's a present for Anthony."
"Thanks C. I'm looking forward to seeing it when it's done." I smiled at her kind gesture.
"When it's finished you can put it in your dressing room." Charlie told me.
"I'll put it on my mirror." I told her. "So then everyone can see it." I told her and she shook her head.
"But then everyone will see it and then they'll ask me to draw them all a picture. That's over 100 drawings." Charlie complained.
"What about on my fridge in my dressing room?" I suggested to her and she got up and patted my head. I laughed at her.
"Okay. But the picture isn't done yet." Charlie smirked as skipped off. I looked up at Amy who was smiling.
"Are you coming to the Theatre?" I asked her.
"Of course. I wouldn't miss it for the world." Amy smiled and pecked my lips. Her lips always taste of a mix of cherries and strawberries. Her hair smells of vanilla. Her phone began buzzing on the table.
"That could be important. You should get that." Little did I know, I was right. Amy got up and picked up her phone."Hello." She paused. "Yes, speaking." She paused again. I notice Amy reach for the arm of the chair and sit down slowly. Has she received bad news? "Yes. I-I'll be right there. Thank you." Amy hung up. Her eyes softly looked at me. Within seconds her eye swelled up with tears.
"Baby girl. What's wrong?" I asked coming over to her and placing a hand on her knee.
"D-dads in hospital." Amy cried. I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and waist.
"Wh-what happened?" I asked just as shocked as she was. I brushed my fingers through her hair. I placed multiple kissed on her head.
"H-he had a stroke." Amy sobbed into my chest.
"Oh babe. Let's go visit him. What hospital is he at?" I said stroking her arms as we pulled away.
"S-St Mercy." She whispered and covered her mouth with her hand.
"Well we should go." I told her. She looked so weak. I hate seeing her like this. She looked lost. She was clearly scared. First her mom passing from cancer and now her fathers on the brink of death.
"Amy. What's wrong?" Charlie asked tugging on Amy's leg. Amy looked at me for help.
"Charlie. Your daddy was at work and he fell and trips. He hurt himself, and is now in hospital. He is fine he just needs surgery. We're going to visit him, would you like to come?" I asked going down to Charlie's eye level. She nodded.
"H-how are we going to get there?" Amy asked me.
"Stay here." I kissed her forehead. "Charlie dear, can you get your sister a glass of water?" I said and Charlie and I sat Amy back down. "I'll be one second." I whispered and left the apartment and knocked on Lin's door. Vanessa answered.
"Anthony dear. How are you? Shouldn't you be heading to Theatre." Vanessa asked.
"Uhm, could I borrow your keys and your car. There's been an emergency. I need to get Amy to the hospital." I panicked.
"Is she okay?" She asked worriedly.
"Yeah she's fine." I said.
"Ramos. What's up?" Lin asked reaching the door and placed an arm around his wife's body.
"Uhm, Could you do me a huge favour and call my understudy. I won't be able to perform today. Amy's unwell, she wants to go to the hospital." I told Lin.
"No worries. I'll drive you." Lin offered.
