Oh what the Heck I'll update again today.

I should probably say when these take place. This oneshot happens after Malachor, but before Steps Into Shadow.

Chopper was already having a bad day when it got even worse. He'd been forced to do inventory duty with AP-5 for most of the morning. AP-5 wasn't the problem, Chopper didn't mind hanging out with his friend, it was the inventory duty that was the problem. So boring. Chopper couldn't stand it.

Then it had gotten even worse when he'd finally been allowed off inventory duty, and he'd gotten some crates pushed on him. Zeb was mean.

The last straw had been when Hera had rescued him and told him he should probably watch where he was going, as if it was his fault he had been buried in crates.

Now he was rolling through the base grumbling at everything. He just wanted to get away from all the stupid organics. As he rolled through a doorway however, it closed on him.

Chopper beeped in surprise and tried to get free. He didn't budge. One of his mechanical arms shot out and whacked the not-so-automatic door. Still nothing. Chopper wiggled his struts and tried to force his way out of the hold of the metal doors. Still nothing.

Chopper whopped angrily and shocked the door. That didn't work. He decided to make as much noise as possible. It involved a lot of swearing in binary and banging his mechanical arms on the doors.

After about fifteen minutes, it felt more like fifteen million, Chopper heard someone coming. Hope filled him, then it vaporized instantly when he saw who it was.

Ezra. It had to be Ezra who found him.

Ezra took one look at Chopper, and burst out laughing. Chopper beeped indignantly at Ezra and attempted to shock him. In the back of Chopper's memory he realised that he hadn't heard Ezra laugh in a long time. He pushed that aside and tried to shock him again.

Ezra leapt backwards, thankfully stopped laughing, and said, "How in the galaxy did this happen?"

Chopper whopped angrily at him that it didn't matter and that he wanted out right now.

"Ok, ok, calm down. Let me see if I can get the door to open," Ezra said as he cautiously walked towards the door's control panel. That's right, Chopper thought, be afraid of me, I've had a rotten day and I'm not afraid to turn yours rotten too.

Ezra fiddled with the control panel for a bit, with Chopper grumbling at him every now and then to hurry up.

Eventually Ezra stepped back and said, "Sorry Chop, I can't get it to open. I think the power's been cut off from this door somehow."

Chopper groaned in despair. Now Ezra would have to go get help, and then the help would have to spend forever repairing the doors. When help finally finished, Chopper would be completely humiliated.

"Maybe I can open the doors with the force?" Ezra said suddenly. He sounded a bit unsure. Chopper thought for a second. That would be much quicker.

Chopper beeped at Ezra telling him to try it because he really wanted out of the door.

"Ok, hold still," Ezra informed Chopper. He closed his eyes and stretched out his hand towards the heavy doors. Chopper could see a bit of strain on his face.

Chopper held still, not because he was doing what Ezra told him to, he'd never follow his orders, but because he knew it was a good idea and that it could help him get unstuck faster. He felt the doors shifting slightly and resisted the urge to try to roll forward. Chopper might break Ezra's concentration.

Suddenly the doors opened enough for Chopper to get free and he shot forward. Ezra released the doors and they slammed shut with a loud bang. Chopper rolled in circles beeping happily and rejoicing at his freedom. He shocked the door and spun in another circle.

"Well you look happy," Ezra said, "You're welcome."

Normally Chopper would've shocked Ezra and rolled off, but Ezra had helped him get out of an unpleasant situation, so Chopper decided not to shock him.

Instead he beeped a quick thank you and patted Ezra's leg with one of his mechanical arms before rolling away. He had no idea that he'd just left Ezra looking completely dumbstruck.

No idea where this idea came from, but it was fun to write.
