I can't remember the last time I touched the piano keys
Everything reminds me of you, every note, every melody
It's a pierce right through my heart, and the tears just won't stop
As I sit and watch the rain drop
But today it's going to be different
I'm going to let my fingers play with fervent
reconnect with Bach and Mozart and Beethoven
Make the flood gates open
Even as the tears stream down, I'll let the melody flow unbroken
As the memories start flooding back
Every anguish, every torment, every regret
I will stop running from my debt
This time I will end things differently
I will actually finish that symphony
