"Yuh-you really think buh-vewtung me up would do any good to your shit reputation, buttercup?~ "
"Shut the fuck up before i slam you through the roof and send you into oblivion you dumb ass fuck !"
A pant, and a sound of something cracking was heared as heavy pumps of air were being huffed out by a raven haired girl, or to me it was Kaoru in her Buttercup form ( though she hates us calling her that ) about done punching some jackass who spoke the wrong shit at the wrong time.
'sigh, that's what he gets for calling her weird , again'
"Alright that's quite enough" I muttered, looking up from my book. As soon as those words left my mouth, i spotted Miyako and Usagi, who the former was calmly walking and the latter alternsting between skipping and hopping towards our direction.
"Hey guys " Usagi excalimed, the same liveliness in her eyes. She sported a purple sweater that was a bit too big for her paired with denim jeans, black open-toe flats to finish it off. Her hair styled in her usual ponytail and bangs.
"Hey bun" Buttercup - who now was Kaoru at this point - waved.
"Hi guys !" Miyako said cheerfully, her usual - but much longer - pigtails bouncing as she excitedly greeted us. Ah, her personality didn't exactly differ much from when we we're young, only the air of maturity was stronger around her. She was sporting a royal blue blouse that ended just above her waist, ripped jeans to accomdate. A flowy white cardigan swoshed as her hands moved, with the same colored heels.
'its painful how scripted this whole interaction is' i glumly thought. Before i could even repy to her, the shrill sound of the school bell rang. A groan was heared from Kaoru as it ended.
"Time for class !~" Usagi sing-songed, the brightness around her almost always prominent. She and Miyako excused themselves before waving us off and walking to their class at the end of the hall.
"Hey Momo, what class do you have ?"
kauro said, the sound of a locker shutting directly after. Her graphic T-shirt snugly wrapped around her, the black shorts probably thrown on last minute. Fixing up some strands of her short as ever pixie cut.
"Um, well I think I have bio...?" I incoherently mumbled looking down to the schedule i had gripped in my hand.
"yup, i have bio, what about you kao~?"I giggled knowing she disliked nicknames.
As if to further core the statement, she gave me a sour look, a frown on her face.
"I told you I don't like that nickname, or nicknames in general"
She sent a stern yet playful look at the eye roll i gave her, "Whatever, everyone knows you secretly like it"
She muttered something akin to 'Momo stop being annoying challenge' before slinging her arms around her neck and yelling that she's gonna head to her physics class. I sent her off with a goofy smile etched on my face and a small wave.
A sigh ripped out of my mouth as soon as her figure disappeared around the hallway.
'how long are you gonna pretend everything's fine?'
"I told you, its not fine. i-i just haven't found a way to.... revert it to its normal state. That's it. Totally" i exclaimed, my arms crossed. Well.
"I really an starting to lose it am i" the sigh i let out lingered as the same uneasy feeling gutted in me. I looked down at the 'school wear' i had on. A black tank top? Ripped jeans? Red heels? a frown etched on my lips. Just exactly how did it come to this? from padded jackets, knee length skirts, white sneakers. It went to the stereotypical bad girl wear, yikes.
Yes my hair was as usual as ever, the big ass bow being removed a few years into middle school and only a light pink, smaller version of it remained tied around my hair supporting the 'infamous' ponytail. But the feeling wasn't the same, i don't think it ever WOULD be the same.

Me ,Miya, Kaoru, and our new friend Usagi were walking to the local science lab in town for our Science project.
"I can't believe we get extra credit for just helping out in an old science lab "said usagi with a smile .
"Me too! I can't wait to finally get an A for science!"I said while grinning from ear to ear .
"You guys are way to excited for this 'extra credit ' thing " kaoru said rolling her eyes .
Miyako just giggled at our silliness .
After a few minutes of waking we arrived in front of two big giant white doors .
"Wow" me and Miya said at the same time .We both giggled at our actions.
"ITS SO BIG!"said Usagi while jumping up and down .
Kaoru just stood there with wide eyes .
Suddenly the big white doors open to reveal a man and a little boy .
The man looked about in his early 30's and the boy looked like about 7 or 8 'properly the same age as Moriku' I thought .
"Welcome " Said the man with a smile. Please come inside " he said gesturing for us to go inside .
We all nodded with a smile except for Kauro who just let out a big sigh and came in.
I rolled my eyes , Miya giggled and usagi just grinned at kaoru's action.
The' man' was actually the professor and the little boy was his son ,ken.
The professor explained he was working with the mayor on experiment ing on a new chemical called chemical Z or as he like to call it Element Z.
He said it has a weird structure and that it has a weird smell and bla bla bla.
The part that interested me was that we get to test it and as part of our science project we get to experiment with it.
So we began.
The professor gave us lab coats to avoid any ' accidents ' and such before pulling out a strange white liquid that was in a large container.
We were told instructions and we did as so - other than kauro who was grumbling all the way - but then the professor who was mixing the white element z liquid with an undentified black one, tripped causing the mixture to explode thus making his lab run into pieces of rubble, or so I have been told.
The mixture landed on me and my friends and I felt some sort of energy release in me before a collapsing roof landed on me making me fall unconscious.
Flashback ends ~
Since that 'accident' me and my friends got powers or as the doctor's like to call it ' supernatural diseases'
Me and my friend's can transform and we get weapons and powers , it was awesome at first, but then the students in out school found out and instead of you usuall 'awesome 'or 'thats so cool'
They Mocked us.
Day after day they mocked us , we tried to prove them wrong by trying to prove them that they were wrong.
But it failed and we became mocked even more .
Me and usagi were holding back our tears ,miya was full on crying , and Kauro was just staring at the floor gripping her hands together.
We had enough of the mockery and decided to just use our powers as a way of defending ourselves. Defending ourselves against the mockery and humiliation we got everyday.
We we were still friendly and all that but so many people were afraid of us . We just used our powers when we had to, but then the kids started rumors about us and now we're known as a bunch of lunatic freaks.
I sighed and started to walk to my class 'When are things gonna change ?'
