People say every year is a chance for me to restart. But I've tried but I was still excluded. I have one best friend her name is Kaya. She has beautiful platinum gold hair, her eyes are sky blue, she is my height and she was the sweetest girl I have ever met. She is also very smart when it comes to disagreements, I'm always thankful for her being in my life. And  Alex, He is kind, generous, selfless and just so much more. He is the only person that I can tell everything to, the only person I completely trust. When there is something wrong he always makes everything better. He has brown curly hair that is normally really fluffy, I love to play with it and mess it up. When the light hits it, it turns a blondish color. He has big brown eyes that just have this sparkle that just makes me giddy. When the sun hits his eyes they look like sun beams coming out of his irises. He gives me this warm safe fuzzy feeling. We are normally hip and hip at school, we see each other when we can.

I walk into the school doors and Kayla screams and jumps on my back. The popular girls give us a look of disgust and walk away. Today was a typical first day of school, rules, rule , rules.

My parents are divorced and my dad is married to a diva named Kate. She hates me and so does my dad, Chace. I have two brothers and two sisters at his house. Adam is the oldest boy and Katlyn is the oldest girl, Saige is the youngest girl and Gray is the youngest boy. I'm the oldest of the all.  Dad and Kate have been talking about starting up a farm with all different types of barn animals. I see this as a possible opportunity to ask about getting a horse.

So as I walk into the house, and I have gotten the gut to ask my dad about it. We have enough land and I've been saving up for years. I have been searching online for a reasonably priced one as well. I would love to just work with the animals and gladly do all the messy up keep. He wouldn't have to raise a finger. Not that he does anyways, I do everything around the house already. I just want one thing of my own. I don't ask for much, I don't even ask for new shampoo because Kate embarrasses me for making her spend money on me. Or ask for new cloths when my current cloths are torn, because I would get yelled at for not being the size they wanted or not liking the cloths most girls my age like.

"Dad can I get a horse? I know it's a lot to ask for. Ill pay for everything." I ask keeping my head down and my heart beating fast.  He turned around from Kate.

"Horses are filthy!  Why the hell would u want one of those beasts?! They are a nasty waste of space. Huh.. Just like you! Now get out of my sight before I beat your ass! Go take care of your siblings."

 "Yes sir"  I squeaked

I wasn't upset that he didn't let me get what I wanted, he just pushed me to my breaking point. I already talked about leaving many times with my friends. I'm done with his cruelty. I cant take any more years of him yelling at me, telling me that he didn't want me. I wasn't good enough for him. I'm not going to let him give me one more bruise or scar.  I tip toed up the stairs fighting back the tears. I was hurt from the awful thing he had said about the graceful and beautiful creatures. I grabbed my backpack and my camping bag. I started to put in some cloths and I put in my knife. I ran down to the garage and hugged my dog Mo. She could sense my sadness. I took off her shock collar and clipped on her leash. I packed her food, my food and treats. I tied her to my waist.

As I rode out the door on my bike. I pulled up under a tree. I pulled out my phone and called Kayla.

"Hey Kayla I need you to listen carefully."

I explained what happened and what I'm doing.

"So are you in?"

"Yea I'll meet you under the tree."

I waited for about an hour, she pulled up with her golden hair swaying as she stopped. We rode in silence , until she broke it.

"So where are we going?"

"I don't know yet, I cant take it any more."

"Umm. Lilly, I asked Alex if he wanted to come and he said that he would meet us a McDonalds. Is that okay?"

"Yeah that's fine."

I was uncertain if we should let him come but it was his choice. We rode down the street, we pulled up to McDonald's and there he was. Waiting patiently for our arrival he ran up to me and braced me in a warm hug.
