A/N: Aye, it's Stan and Nala up there!
Disclaimer: Y'all already know it by this point (I hope...)
3rd Person POV:
Nala had told her four children what had happened, they had all understood and were now eating at the table. Lance had thought it best that Nala didn't turn human because it could hurt the puppies, and had cooked the meal himself. He did a really good job on the chicken (it took three to feed the five of them) and had also done a good job on the mashed potatoes, all five were picking at their food though, and Olami had excused himself early. Nala ended up eating all of the meat, but left her potatoes untouched. She waited for the other children to excuse themselves and wash their plates before she did the same with help from Quip. Lance went out to inform the Vampire Lords and High Alphas of the loss, Quip and Hal went up to bed, and Olami was in his human form sobbing. Nala crept over to him and laid her head on his leg, he pet her and buried his face in her fur, letting his tears fall freely into her pelt. Nala spoke softly until they both drifted off to sleep.

Eragon's POV:
I was having a nightmare, I knew I was. I was running from something, I didn't know what. I got trapped in a room with no light, my eyes wouldn't adjust to the darkness, my heart raced, I couldn't hear anyone breathing, taking, or anything. I was alone, but I wasn't alone at the same time. I was afraid to even blink, something was watching me, something big, strong, and fast. I felt a sudden pain in my chest and my eyes opened suddenly. The pain ebbed away in a second, I knew one of my subjects was dead. I scanned the room, my room, and sighed in relief, I looked at Stan, who was holding me tightly, looking concerned. "I'm fine.. It was just a nightmare..." I said softly, looking over at the corner where Edward was squeaking with laughter. I rolled my eyes and let myself relax in Stan's grip. He had tensed up a bit when he noticed my brother, but relaxed as soon as he flew out of my room. "I've gotta get up..." I said, letting my disappointment show in my voice. He let me go, and left the room and closed the door behind him so I could get dressed in private. I examined the scars and bruises along my body and carefully slipped on the most comfortable clothes I could. I walked to the throne room and bowed as I neared my parents, I could tell mom was trying to hold her queenly posture, but she stood up and ran to me, grasping me in a hug. I hugged back, surprised that she cared that much about me. "Eragon, you scared us all..." She said, talking quietly. "I..I didn't mean too." I stuttered, glancing up at my father, whom had remained in his throne but was watching with a look of relief. I knew this moment wouldn't last long, and I was right.
