"I... I'm... Sorry..."
                          
Keith's eyes widened and his legs gave out from crouching and from the shock. "L-Lance..." he whimpered, his bayard falling from his hand. Keith heard rushed footsteps and his fellow paladins calling his name, but all his focus was on the man before him.
                          
Lance stepped back to get his balance and raised his blaster.
                          
"Wha-!?" The Galran soldiers stumbled, fear flashing across their expressions. "How are you still alive!?"
                          
Lance raised his head and glared at them. He raised his bayard farther for better aim. "I didn't pay much attention in health class, but we humans call it adrenaline. We accomplish the impossible with just a boost of that shit."
                          
The Galran sneered. "What are you!?"
                          
The blue paladin smirked and raised his head. "The Blue Paladin of Voltron, puta. Now..." Lance bared his teeth in a sneer. "Back the hell off! Cower! Leave this planet!" He screamed, pulling the trigger.
                          
The Galran's body jerked and he fell. The Galran beside him howled in fear. "Retreat! Retreat!" He cried, The sentries and Galrans running behind him.
                          
Keith heard Pidge scream once they had a clear view of them. "Lance!"
                          
Said man shook, his bayard slipping out of his hands. Lance dropped his head to look down at the spears driven through his abdomen. "Shit..." He muttered, stumbling.
                          
"Lance..." Keith felt glued to the ground. He tried to move as the other three ran up and took hold of Lance. "Lance!" He cried, forcing himself to his feet and over to Lance. "Lance, Lance!" Keith squeezed by Hunk and took Lance's pale face in his hands. "Lance!"
                          
Lance wheezed and rolled his head. Shiro spoked urgently into the comm to Allura, trying to get her to land on the planet. "Keith?"
                          
Keith nodded, pushing Lance's damp hair out of his face. "Yeah... Yeah, it's me... It's me... I'm here..."
                          
The blue paladin tried a smile, shaky and small. "I... I love you... You're beautiful... Even like this..." Lance tried to reach up, but his arms fell limp. Keith sobbed, his chest tight as he pet Lance's hair. He must look fully Galra.
                          
Shiro and Hunk kept Lance held up, Pidge pressing a cloth on either side of Lance to try and slow the gushing red.  
                          
The castle descended down nearby the lions. Shiro cursed and looked down at Lance. "We need to get going. Pidge, his bayard. Hunk, help me carry him."
                          
Hunk nodded and gently nudged Keith back. Pidge tied the cloth tightly around Lance's abdomen and around the spears before snatching the bayard.
                          
"Shiro, what do you want me to do?" Keith stepped up, gesturing to himself.
                          
The black paladin hesitated, looking up at Keith. However, before he could speak, Pidge stepped in front of Keith and jabbed at his chest with Lance's deactivated bayard. "You don't touch him!" She snapped, glaring at him through thick tears. Keith jolted. "You're such an ass!" Pidge whipped around and rushed after Hunk and Shiro.
                          
Keith clenched his jaw and glared at the pink and grey road.
                          
Suddenly, a soft whistling noise came from above. Keith looked up to see a small, glistening object fall from the red sky. His eyes widened as it landed in a alleyway the other paladins were rushing by. "Guys-!" He cried, but then the explosion hit. 
                          
Keith was thrown off his feet by the force as the others screamed.
                          
Everything blacked out.

"-eith... Keith... Son, wake up."
                          
Keith gasped and shot up, eyes wide. He whipped his head side to side, searching his surroundings. "Lance... Lance, where- where's Lance?" Keith fumbled as he pushed himself off the table.
                          
Thace reached over and held Keith back. "You need to rest. You were thrown directly into a building. You were only scraped and bruised, but you're also in shock. Sit."
                          
"No... No!" Keith shook his head and shoved Thace away. "Lance!? Where is-"
                          
"I'll take you to him."
                          
Both Thace and Keith looked up. Matthew stood in the doorway, eyes downcast.
                          
Keith gulped, hands over his chest. He nodded. He followed Matthew out and down the hall. "What is it? Is he still in a pod? What about Pidge? Or Shiro? Or Hunk?"
                          
Matthew shook his head. "Katie refused to get in a pod, so she set her arm herself."
                          
"Her arm was broken!?"
                          
"Yes." Matthew nodded. "Shiro blocked her from the blast and Hunk protected Lance as much as he could."
                          
Keith picked up his pace. "And... And Lance?" 
                          
Matthew stopped. "He... It's unclear."
                          
The Red Paladin shuddered at Matthew's words. Matthew began walking again and they soon reached the cryo-chambers. Keith's ears flattened and his eyes widened.  
                          
Lance, Hunk and Shiro were all in pods, Pidge buried in her own clutter as she muttered and worked with one hand. 
                          
Keith stepped closer. "Pidge?"
                          
Pidge gasped and whipped around. "Keith?" Keith sighed and advanced. Her eyes widened. "No!" She shouted, standing up. "Don't you dare come closer! This is your fault! Lance just wanted to apologize for shit he never meant because you pushed him into it! Then, in front of everyone, the last thing you said to him, you told him that you hate him!" Keith flinched. "Then, all because he loves you, Lance got impaled and shot! He's dying!"
                          
Keith turned his head away. Pidge sobbed softly, rubbing at her eyes. "Lance... The pod might not be able to save him... just slowed down... Just slowing it down..." She stumbled out of her clatter. Keith rushed forward to catch her. Pidge clung to him, her tears beginning to soak his shirt. "I want... I wanna tell him... Tell Shiro I'm sorry... I'm terrible... I'm awful... I should have spoke to him, I should have tried to understand. I should have..."
                          
Keith tightly embraced her. "Pidge..."
                          
"I love him... I'm in love with Takashi..." Pidge whispered, her sobs quieting. "Yet I treat him so cruelly. I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."
                          
Keith held her close and looked up. 
                          
Hunk had less damage, so he'd be out sooner.
                          
Shiro was pale, a new, thin scar across his jaw line and one crossed over his old scar. Blood soaked his pod garments so he'll have more, worse scars over his torso and legs.
                          
And Lance... Lance was dying...

Alright, so, last night (Jan 20-21) I binged the whole second season. All of it. 
                          
What the hell is up with Keith and Allura? Why?

Dammit it, I need my canon!Klance!
                          
THAT FUCKING ENDING! That fucked me for over an hour! At four/five in the morning! I nearly threw my remote at the tv! If I did, my dad would have murdered me.
                          
And poor Thace! WTH!? I was, like, super upset, and he's not Keith's dad, what the shit? 
                          
I'll just keep writing this as I have, since I started this a couple months before s2 came out, so Thace will still be Keith's father in this and all that jazz.
