It's been a few weeks since the day that I met the one and only, Joker. And honestly, I have not been able to get him out of my head. He is just so much nicer than anyone would think. I might have a liking for the clown, but is he really as bad as everyone says he is? He saved my life which proves he does have some good in him. Maybe after all he is not a bad human being, just a little off. More free, possibly. However, he has killed so many people, and I wouldn't want to be his next victim. But on the other hand, I wouldn't mind him being the reason I die. Wow Y/N. That clown must be a secret magician too as I am sure he hypnotised me somehow. I would never think these thoughts about a insane lunatic before, but now, what happened to me?"Excuse me young lady? Where do you find books for teenagers? My granddaughter is turning 14 in a few days, and I have no idea where to find suitable books for her." An old lady's voice pulls me back into reality. "Right over there." My voice sweet and polite as I point to where she can find her desired books. She thanks me before leaving to look for a gift to buy. After the library was burnt down to the ground, I got a new job in a book store, which is not far off from what I did before. But this job is so more boring. All I do all day long is stand behind a desk. It's better than nothing though so I can't really complain.
After a few hours, it was finally time to close the shop and time for me to go back home and relax. Walking around the shop, I make sure everything is organised and no customers are left in the building. Around 15 minutes later, I am locking the store and heading back to my apartment. Hugging the coat around my body, I began to fasten my pace. Gotham at night is not a nice place, especially for females all by them self. Just like me right now. Tonight was extremely cold and dark, not too good for me. This little coat that I'm wearing wasn't the best protector from coldness, but it was better than just wearing my work shirt, I guess.
Turing into an ally way, a quicker route home, a big figure appears in front of me out of nowhere. Now this is just cliché. "Hey princess, wanna go back to my place?" The man started to quickly make his way towards me, but before I could run away, his large hand wrapped it's self around my wrist, pulling me into his chest. The stench of alcohol was making me feel like I am about to be sick. "Uh, I rather not go anywhere except from my house. Alone." He did not seem to like that answer, as his grip around my wrist and now waist tightened. "That's not what I asked. You are coming with me either way, princess." As the man began to pull me away from him, I was running out of ideas. Screaming, I tried to get someone's, anyones, attentions. But it seems the only person who's attention my scream got was the alcoholic man that was dragging me away from freedom.
His large hand flew up to my face, covering my mouth incase I'll choose to scream again. "You will pay for that when we get to my house." He whisper yelled, but suddenly a laugh echoed through the ally way, making the man tense. "I don't think you sill be getting there. Well not in one piece anyway." Joker was here to save me, again. Maybe he planned this all along? That's just stupid, never mind. "This is not your problem, freak." The man yelled in response. "That was a bad decision, honestly." I mumbled, but he couldn't understand me, due to the hand stopping my voice from being clear.
"Get your hands of my doll. Now." Joker yelled at the man, who ran the opposite direction when he heard 'I' was the Joker's girl. "Thank you." My voice was quite due to the screaming that took place a few seconds ago. "What is you and getting in trouble, doll face?" Blushing at the nickname, I look down at the ground as even in this light, you probably could see the rosy red colour that began to appear on my cheeks. "I told you before not to hide such a pretty face, Y/N." His voice sounded so comforting yet stern at the same time. But what really got me surprised was the fact that he remembered my name. He remembered me.
"You didn't forget me?" My question hangs in the air for a few seconds before a small chuckle leaves Joker. "Of course I wouldn't forget a doll like you. But it seems as though you forgot to keep yourself out of trouble." Blushing even more at his statement, I look down at my shoes, trying to make sure he wouldn't be able to see my rosy face. "At least you are there to save me." I whisper, in some way hoping that my saviour won't hear me. Looking back at him, a small smile appeared on my face. Without answering, Joker began to slowly turn around and walk back to where he originally was heading. "Where are you going?" I quickly took a step forward, as if to follow him. But I stopped in my tracks when I began to process my actions. "Somewhere fun, until I'll have to save you again, doll." With a laugh, he disappeared into the busy streets of Gotham, leaving me wanting to follow his steps like a lost puppy. Shaking my head, I quickly ran home, his words echoing in my head. 'Until I'll have to save you again, doll.'
