Damn, where is she, where did she go? I’m searching for her like crazy, but it seems that she’s nowhere to be found. I’m asking the people but nobody saw her or where she went.
She said I won the battle but I lost the war,
And now my head is sore,

We fought another time and we yelled at each other, as she just raised her hand to shut me up. She said, that she had had enough and that I’ve won this battle, but I lost the war. She went away then while I was still fuming. The realization, what her words meant came too late and now my head is aching. Now I’m searching for her, running after her. Not to take back my words, but to tell her the words I should have said, the words I would truly have meant.

But I can’t find her, she left, I took too long and now I’m standing here lost in the crowd, asking people if they saw her beautiful face, but nobody did. So I change my strategie and ask them to tell her that I love her and want her by my side, so hopefully she’ll get the message. So I just stand there telling people how much I miss her and love her, like I should have said to her.
She got me saying sorry through the door,

It was back then I told her that I’m sorry, but when I arrived at her house she wouldn’t even open up the door and face me. She tells me what I’ve feared, so it’s too late to say those words now. I should have told her before, but I won’t give up. So I’m standing here telling it everyone and shouting it out in the world.

I’m telling them if they see her they should tell her how much I love and miss her. That I really truly mean it and want her back, so hopefully she will listen to someone who tells her or if she just heard it enough times. So I beg them to tell her and don’t leave anything unspoken like I did, not this time.
Now I'm sitting here in disbelief,
How it truly broke my heart to have to watch her leave,
But she was torn between what she wants and what she needs,
They say you love someone enough you've gotta set them free,
She said that she was born to leave this town behind,
Knew the truth but still she looked me in the eyes and lied,

And now after such a long time I’m finally sitting here alone at the shore in disbelief, just silent this time, because I came to the realization that maybe I should set her free. It still hurts because she broke my heart when she left and decided to do what she wants instead of what she needs, by leaving our town behind. She knew it herself, that that wasn’t what she needed, but she lied and left. Now I think it’s time, it’s been long enough, I should let her go, even though up until now she never left my mind.

So I get back up at my feet because I am what she needs and again I’m asking people for help, to get her back. That they just tell her what I never could, using words I’ve never said to her.
