Viktor's POV

I looked at the locket. "This..." I said. "God said this is from the soul that I was made from. I said.

Flashback

"Viktor!" I heard a voice from afar said. "Viktor!"

"Yu..." I said, tried to reach my hand.

"Viktor!!!"

I was like being sucked in of the vacuum. "Yu-!!!"

I got up, then caught my breath. "What...was that?" I said.

I washed my face, then head to the hall for our breakfast. "Viktor. You look like a mess." Mila said. She's one of the outbound officers of the Bureau.

"He always look like a mess." Yurio said. He's an apprentice of the Bureau since he's young.

"Yurio. Your manners." Altin scolded him. He's the officer in charge of Yurio's training.

"Anyway, why do you look like that, anyway?" Michele asked. He's another putbound officer of the Bureau.

"Mickey, he always looks like that." Emil said. He's an outbound officer, too.

"So you mean to say, he looks like a mess, and he's always look like that, so he always looks like a mess. Is that it?" Georgi said. He's the overseer of everything.

"That's it." Yurio said. They all laughed. I just sighed.

"Anyways, Viktor. Really, why do you look like a mess?" Chris asked. he's my best friend.

"Well..." I said and took a bite. "That dream again." I said.

They all looked at me. "Dream?" they asked.

I nodded. They all fell silent. We continued eating. Good thing Morooka - san and Honda - san is not here because they decided to eat their breakfast in their office. God is still sleeping in his room. If they'll find out we're having dreams, all of us, they'll scold us for sure.

Anyways, we are called the Bureau. We are what you call God's hands. God is the one that supervises our work, while we're the ones that does his work. 'Work', meaning changing a country to utopia. Well, more like it's His whim, anyway. And we're idiots to do his whims. Well, we're created by Him, so we're obliged. Ah! Whatever! I'll just eat my breakfast.

"Huh? Viktor?" I saw Sara.

"Sara? You're going out now?" I asked.

She nodded. "Anyway, you look like a mess." She said.

I sighed. "I know that. We just talked about that earlier at breakfast - "

"To the point you forgot your necklace." She said, frowning.

"Necklace?" I asked. I felt my neck. I gasped. "You're right! It's gone!" I said, and was about to run when she stopped me.

"Wait." She said. "Here." She took out my necklace.

"Where did you get that?" I asked, took it out from her.

"At the hall." She said. "You must've dropped it. Since you're a mess." She added. I grimaced. "Well, anyway. Take care of that." She said.

"Yeah. Thanks." I said. She waved and then went away.

I looked at the necklace. "I almost lost you, huh?" I said. I remembered what God said during one of our meetings. He talked about our body is attached to the thing the soul that we're made of left as a precious item. That's why we should do our best to keep it or else we would be gone. We may look like a human, but we're not. We may be living with God, but we're neither angels nor saints. I touched the necklace. "I wonder what would happen if this would be destroyed?" I asked. "Where will we go?" I said. I scratched the surface of the locket. "Oww!" I cried when I felt a pain in my arm. I looked at it, and surprised to see a scratch appeared. I looked at the locket. "So that's it. It's really true. This is our body." I said.
