Chapter 11- Crash

                                    

                                          
I woke up to the sound of Alexa crying in my bed. She regularly had nightmares and ended up climbing into my bed when Naya wasn't staying over. When Naya stayed she was much more reluctant but occasionally still came into our bed. 
                          
Looking at the clock I saw that it was already twelve and I must have been extremely tired to sleep that long when normally Alexa had me up as soon as the sun was up. 
                          
We had been home from Spain for a few weeks now and Alexa was still the same as before. She was incredibly clingy and wanted nothing more that to be in my arms, however she would settle with Naya if I was too busy. 
                          
Naya and I had spent less time together due to the fact we both had extremely busy work schedules but she still made a point of being part of our lives as she didn't want Alexa to think she had abandoned her. 
                          
I was set to go on my neon lights tour with Fifth Harmony, Cher Lloyd and Little Mix to support me. I knew I would miss Naya terribly as I wouldn't be able to see her for most of it but I was worried about how Alexa would react to having to be left with new people. 
                          
Today Naya was at work and I had invited all the girls over before we started the tour in less than a week. Naya was coming over tonight after she was finished so I could spend as much time with her as possible before I had to leave.
                          
I picked up my crying daughter from the bed and gently rocked her until she was calm enough for me to speak to. 
                          
"Hey baby girl, mummy has some friends coming over today remember." I told her. She shook her head and cuddled into me more. 
                          
"It's okay baby. Mummy will be there the whole time, I won't let you get hurt. I love you Lexie." 
                          
"I wuv you mummy." She said in a small voice. My face lit up at her talking to me. Although she whispered goodnight to me most nights, this was the first time she had spoke properly to me.
                          
"Say that again for mummy." I said excitedly.
                          
"I wuv you mummy." She said giggling this time. 
                          
"If I facetime Naya can you say I love you Naya?" I asked, she nodded and I called Naya on my phone. 
                          
"Hey Beautiful, I need to give you a message quickly." I said handing Alexa my phone so she could see Naya.
                          
"Hey princess." Naya said to Alexa causing her to giggle for some unknown reason. She looked at me and I nodded at my little girl giving her the encouragement she needed. 
                          
"Wuv you NayNay." She said laughing still. I put Alexa on my lap so we could both talk to Naya. 
                          
"Did Lexie just speak?" Naya asked shocked. 
                          
Alexa giggled loudly making both of us smiled. I had noticed how much happier she was becoming and I couldn't be any more happier myself. 
                          
"That's brilliant princess. I have to go now but I'll see you tonight. I love you too Lexie." Naya said. Alexa leaned forward and kissed the camera making me aw at her cuteness. 
                          
"I love you Naya, I'll see you when you get home." I said before hanging up on her. I left Alexa playing with her dolls and went off to get myself ready. Today was just casual so I put on my jeans with a black paramore T-shirt and left my bright blue hair down. 
                          
When I was finished I went back to Alexa's room to find her singing Heart Attack to her dolls. I filmed it from the door and sent it to Naya, Dallas, Maddie, my mum and Selena. 
                          
"Hey baby, wanna get dressed?" I asked. She ran into her walk in wardrobe and grabbed her tiny paramore top I had bought as I couldn't resist when I first saw it.
                          
"Are we going to be twins today then?" She nodded at me excitedly. I loved the good mood she was in this morning, it always made things easier. 
                          
I changed her before dressing her in her paramore top and black skinny jeans. I brushed her hair and left it down before taking a picture and posting it on twitter and instagram. 
                          
Taking Alexa downstairs, I decided it was nearer lunchtime than breakfast so she'd be better having her lunch now. 
                          
She was still extremely fussy about her food so I cut up carrots, cucumber and apples, a packet of these healthy kids crisps I had found in the supermarket and a biscuit so she could pick. She was better at mealtimes if it wasn't too much of one thing I had discovered.
                          
She hit her cup loudly off the table to get my attention as my back was turned. 
                          
"Alexa, we don't not bang our cups. Can you please use your words so I know what you want." I told her firmly. 
                          
"Juice please?" She said a lot quieter than she had spoke earlier. 
                          
"That's better baby, of course you can."
                          
I had just given her the juice when my doorbell went. I left Alexa and went to answer it only to see Perrie, Leigh-Anne, Jesy and Jade.
                          
"Hey guys come on in." I gave them all hugs and led them to the kitchen were Alexa wasn't waiting. I knew she was under the table though as I could hear her crying.
                          
"Baby come out, it's mummy. Come and see mummy." I said crouching down so she could see me. She crawled out and ran into my arms. I scooped her up and gently rocked her until she stopped crying. She looked up and saw the girls.
                          
"I watched her as she pointed out Perrie's newly re-dyed pink hair and then to mine. I let out a small laugh at the fact that is what she had noticed first. 
                          
"That's Perrie babe. Are you going to be brave and give her a cuddle? She's really nice." I asked. She didn't reply so I just passed her over to her. Alexa grabbed Perrie's hair carefully and played with it in her fingers. She was fascinated by dyed hair especially bright colours. 
                          
All the girls were great with Alexa and she seemed comfortable enough around the Little Mix girls. I was wondering where the others had got to when my phone started ringing. Seeing as it was Cher, I quickly answered it.
                          
"Hey are you guys near by?" I asked.
                          
"Demi we're not coming anymore. There's been a crash, you might want to come to the hospital."
