Hello old friend, we meet again
I suppose I saw this coming, after all we are linked by a chain
I thought I had you contained, but I could feel you stirring
The beast inside, one I tried to hide
Covered it up with a smile and a 'oh I am fine thank you'
All while it tried to claw its way through
I've fought you endlessly, to keep those near happy
But I was wrong, you were a friend who would never strayWithout you I couldn't get through life
So once again, the beast within stirs
lashing out and pushing away those who dares come near
That's what it does best, rage and fight and hurt
marring clean surfaces with dirt
Because with a beast like that, who needs anyone else
When you have a beast inside, tainting almost every cell.
It feeds on the darkness around me, the one no one could see
And when everyone leaves, only you would linger,
The beast inside me, my light bringer.
