Chapter eighteen

                                    

                                          
this is going to be a long chapter. 
                          
Maui laid in Moana's arms lifeless, Moana had tears stream down her face as she held his head in her arms "this can't be it!" Moana said angrily. 
                          
Moana turned to the sky "gods if you can hear me I ask of you please bring Maui back" she cried to the sky her full heart heavy. 
                          
Everything remained silent Moana just felt like everything was lost...... 
                          
"Moana I will grant you this request" a voice out from the water there stood a goddess so beautiful, her hair the colour black and ocean eyes.  
                          
Moana turned around and looked at the goddess "please before its to late" Moana pleaded. 
                          
"Heed my warning if I bring Maui back he will no longer be a Demi god but human that is the price he will pay do you still want to bring him back?" The goddess said. 
                          
No longer a Demi god he wouldn't live forever but become mortal Moana thought she didn't care, all she wanted was to see Maui open his eyes again. 
                          
"Okay I accept these terms" she said as she got away from Maui tears still stinging her eyes. 
                          
The goddess came over as she laid her hand on his head "bring him back to the living" she said as she repeated it twice while a light cane from her hand.  
                          
Then she removed herself from him, he laid cold and lifeless still "why isn't it working?" Moana said tears in her eyes. 
                          
Just then Maui moved his eyes "Moana" he called out, Moana rushed over "Maui you're back!" She said as she hugged his chest tightly hearing his heart soar again made her cheeks blush. 
                          
She regained herself "Maui I have to tell that you died" Moana said, "I died but how did I get back then". 
                          
"The goddess helped to bring you back to life but I had to make a deal with her" she said nervously as she got up off Maui.  
                          
"That if she brought you back you would become mortal" Moana said. 
                          
Maui got up as he started to look confused "but that means I can't shift shape anymore into my animals forms I won't be able to-" he only realised that Moana was tearing up badly. 
                          
"I had no other choice I couldn't risk never seeing you again!" She said angrily. 
                          
"Moana" he said as he rushed over to her picking her chin up and kissing her lightly, "you didn't let me finish I was about to say that I wouldn't be able to be the protector or man anymore but I don't care Moana I would throw that all away in a heart beat for you" he said lightly. 
                          
Moana's heart began to beat harder as Maui stood over her now he was mortal they would grow older at the same time. 
                          
"Sorry to break the moment up but I think we should be on our way" Keoki said butting in. 
                          
Maui nodded "just let me grab the amulet" he said. 
                          
"Maui don't they will come after you again" Moana said. 
                          
"I have to get that amulet so that Milana won't use it again to hurt anyone" Maui said as he walked over and ripped it off milanas neck as she was passed out. 
                          
Maui grabbed Moana's hand as they departed off the ship and onto the boat "lets go home" Moana said with everyone in the boat heading back to mun tanui.
